Dragon Tamer
Okay, I was trying to illustrate a story and something just isn't working. I can't get online from my own computer, so anything I want to add, I have to use a public computer and a floppy disc. I tried to add a picture to the story. I clicked on "Image" put in "3? Floppy (A:)" for the source, inserted the image title, and got nothing but a little box with a red X in the corner. Am I doing something wrong?

Loup cache -> The text editor allows you to upload pictures
directly on the site, you don't have to go on a hosting site
(but it should work too)
Now what you need to
do, is to copy the image from your floppy drive to the hard
drive of that computer (put it on the desktop for example).
Then click on "Image" icon in the text editor, click on
"Browse", choose your image, and click upload. Then wait and
choose that image in the list, and click "ok".

I am not quite sure...I haven't added a picture to a fanfic before, but if you are talking about adding an image and setting it's location as "A:/(imagename).gif" that will not work. Anything that asks you for where an image is, is referring to where it is on the internet, so if your picture is NOT on the web but on a floppy disc, you must find a place to host it... So, you might go to villagephotos.com, photobucket, image shack, etc., and upload your picture from your floppy. Then take out the floppy disc and use the "URL" they give you on your image hosting provider. That should work, but I am not entirely sure of what is going on, because again, I have never done this... |
