Ok, I bought Paint Shop Pro X a while ago for my piccys but ever since I installed it on my computer it's changed every single image file on my computer to a 'Paint Shop Pro X image' file type and I can't put any sigs or avvies onto any of the hosting sites and have to take photos of my drawings otherwise I can't upload them to BS or DA.

Anyone know what's going on with it or even better, how to fix it?

It just associated itself with the other file types, so that
you only need to double click on a file to open PSP X. I
don't understand why it prevents you from uploading the
files because it must not have changed anything with the
files themselves. To unassociate the files, right click on a
file and use "Open with", then use "Images preview" or
something like this...Or open PSP X, and go into the
"associate" options and uncheck all the boxes.

Personally, I hate Adobe Photoshop, so I use Paint Shop Pro for anything...I think I have version 9...Anyways, steet is right. By default, PSP saves every file as PSP unless it's another file like gif for instance and your saving it over that file (overwriting). I'm not sure if you can change the default setting, even though it's annoying you have to click on the dropdown box every time...I just hate that so much...

Yes, if you save your images in the PSP file format, other software won't be able to use them. That's why you should keep your PSP images when you're working on them (they are called the "project" files) and save them to either JPG, GIF, PNG...when you've finished.

Ok, thanks Steet, I'll try that. Sometimes when I right-click I can't select 'Open with' or it won't show up, like if I make an avatar, sig or wallpaper straight from PSP X the other programs can't/won't show up the pic, it says 'preview unavaliable'.
