I'm confused. I read in a artical that Balto isn't realy part wolf then I red another artical that Balto was part wolf for real. well if  Balto isn't part wolf why would they do it in the vidio?

Balto is a purebred husky. The reason Universal had him as a
wolf/dog was probably to make him more of the 'underdog'.
And it gave Steele an angle for his hatred of Balto. But
movies don't have to follow facts exactly. But the REAL
Balto was infact a purebred husky.

The real balto was a purebred Siberian Husky. they just made him wolfdog in the movies to make more interesting i guess.

balto is a pure bred husky,so in the film they put him as part wolf so thats why steetle hated him so badly.oh facts don't have to be true,to real life. mayahuskEE---your right

No. Balto is a wolfdog, part wolf, part Siberian Husky,he is not purebred husky. Trust me.

The real Balto was purebred husky, yet in the movie he wasnt. For the reason to make the movie a bit more interesting. But then again, if you look at it, Balto, either one, would have been purebred wolf because dog is simply a sub species of Wolf.

No, Balto is'nt part wolf. He was all Siberian husky. I have no clue why Universal did that. They even put parts that did'nt happen, such as the white wolf scene.
