Hey, I know this is really dumb to ask but if Balto's mom was a wolf and his dad was a husky than how did the people end up with him? Did they own both parents or what really happened?

But Balto doesn't know that. |

Boris probably lived near Nome first. He found Balto as a pup separated from his mother from what I can gather from B2. |

It was never spelled out in any of the three films. The only thing that is known is that Balto's mother, Aniu (the white wolf) is dead, and appeared occasionally as a spirit in Balto and Balto 2 (as Steet has shown from a posted interview with a member of the production team of Balto 2 and 3, it has been firmly established that the white wolf which appeared in Balto, and Aniu, are one and the same). What happened to Balto's father has never been established. And as to how Balto ended up with people? He didn't really. He lives on the outskirts of Nome as a stray...in the old ramshackle fishing boat, which lay beached off Norton Sound. Even after bringing the team home with the diphtheria anti-toxin in Balto 1, and being accepted as a hero. The only thing that has been established about Balto's youth is that (in his own words) Boris, the snow goose, took care of him since he was a pup, and is like a father to him. This all, of course, is MUCH MUCH different than the real Balto's history. |
Tibb's, or anyone else's (including any of mine). Anything
not established in the three Balto cartoons, as pertains to
the cartoon version of Balto anyway, is not official. It
might be very good and entertaining fiction, but it is not
official.
