I just thank he has a puppy
baltoseppala
The real Balto was neutered at approximately six months of
age (so he could never have fathered any puppies). He was kenneled with Leonhard Seppala's other dogs,
but he could not have had a mate. And there was no real
Jenna at the time, in Nome (though other dogs, in the course
of time, could have conceivably had such a name).
In any case, real dogs do not have girlfriend/boyfriend
relationships...that is a human bonding.

Now on the ADENTURES OF BALTO ( the book by Patricia Chargot) I think it says that their was something going on with Togo and another dog, but I don't know if it is true or not. |

wolf puppy, you're very good at re-stating what has already been said. You've done that in a couple of question threads now...and maybe also in the forums. What's up with that? |

Well, fle bag, that's true. But it is still possible to see working-line (sledding) Siberian Huskies, and also Seppala Siberian Sled Dogs, which look a heck of a lot like Balto did (in terms of markings). Some come VERY close! So, while Balto's specific genetics have been lost to history, his larger breed line still exists in both the modern Siberian Husky (more specifically the working lines rather than the show/conformation lines) and the Seppala Siberian Sled Dog. If you want, I can provide pictures of such dogs to prove that. So, if you ever wanted a dog who looks just like the real Balto did, you just need to do a little footwork, find the right breeders, and hope to get in on the right litter (which might happen to have a puppy with those markings)! Of course, that would be SOME footwork to pull it off! |

Man he should of never been neuterted. Us humans today could of have bought a dog who had Baltos blood in him or her. That sucks. They should of done it like Rin Tin Tin there is a breeder who raises Rin Tin Tin pups blood and people can buy them today. Now Balto will never be here with us again only in spirit wise. |

years. And a few times during his retirement at Elizabeth
Ricker's Poland Spring, Maine kennels. He is seen as one of
the foundation dogs of the Siberian Husky breed. And was a
key member of the Seppala Siberian Sled Dog breed (from
which the Siberian Husky arose).
