Why are only pieces done with Computer Graphics (Photoshop, GIMP, ect...) chosen to be fanart of the week? Are they highly favored over Traditional media? If so, why?

Comp graphics just look best since they look offical. But when Night
had the fanart of the week, hers was traditional pencil, so its not
always the case, like Steet said. |
I however believe that it is the thought and idea that
should make the image enjoying... not just having a fancy
computer program. I feel that it's biased to say that "The
best artists use computer programs," because that's not
true... the color may look better, and I do have a computer
program... but I seriously like traditional pencil as much,
if not more, because it can take a lot more time and effort.
So altogether, I think that the art-of-the-week mod(s)
should look at it from the idea of the pic, and the work put
into it, not its outcome in the end by how it looks.
