I thought that Balto did get adopted because at the end of Balto 3, you notice (well, I noticed) Balto had a collar on while he was flying with Duke. I assumed that meant he was adopted, right? I always thought that. Did anyone else notice that?

I think it makes more sense story-wise for him to have been adopted by Duke because of the timing, though personally I wonder why Rosie didn't adopt him (as far as we know).

I always thought that he was adopted by Rosie, because in the start of Balto III we see him play with rosie and jenna by the fire but I don't know if he was ever adopted
