I'm pretty sure it never was... Like I said before, life doesn't work
like a free hand-outs. |

I've seen a lot of people selling their fan merchandise (and most of
the time it looked way better then official stuff). You can sell it
directly to other fans by contacting them via fan sites or Deviantart,
but I don't think there's any way to get any official license.
Companies don't give licenses that easily. |

A lawyer and a lot of money, and in the end you might STILL not end up
with what you were after. |

Plus the license may be really expensive, like when you buy a
permission to use a song into a video |

TLKG, life isn't that simple. You can't just go in and ask for a
licence and expect them to hand it to you. That would be like going in
somewhere and asking for a job and having them be like "okay"! Life
doesn't work like free hand-outs. The adult world is full of paper
signing, interviews, training, and all that other good stuff. |

For what you're talking about, no, it's not possible. The only way for
an item of merchandise to be "approved", is for the manufacturer to
make it themselves through a license with the film's production
company. Anything other than that is fan-made, which COULD be sold but
ONLY if you make it absolutely clear it is NOT official merchandise.
Plus, those tend to sell for far less than official merchandise does. |
