Spotted Shadow
I haven't been really paying attention to Balto Source dramas but I know characters now HAVE to be semi- realistic but can we do cool eye colors? Like blues, grays, in limited cases red? Or even where the white part of the eye is black instead of white? Thank you to anyone who answers...

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with it as long as they're not neon or something. Now, if you want a realistic character, go look up some pictures of the species or breed you want to design and choose one of those eyes colors. Wolves, for example, usually have eye colors is the yellow/orange/amber or even brown ranges. Huskies commonly have brown or blue. Cats, just as a random third example, can have anywhere in the blue, green, or amber ranges. Etc.
Basically, no, there's no rule against eye colors. But, if you want a realistic and more believable character, it's HIGHLY recommended to stick to natural breed eye colors.

@alphawolfjenna - Dogs do have green eyes, they're just less common
from other eye colors. Here's an example of a puppy that has green
eyes:

well, blue eyes YES! on huskies blue is very common gray, well there
are gray eyes but they have a blue tint. I would not really do red,
that I really don't know about, you might try asking some others. |

Spotted -- The first part of your comment, I think you meant Jersey,
not Mighty. And for the second part, your reply to me, yeah, the character rules did get very strict, but - and this is just my opinion, and as a person who has experiment with character eye color... Let's say, for example, the white part of your character's eye is a light blue, and the red part of it, just before the black and the little white dot, is a mild dark blue, there should be no problem. |

@Jersey- I don't know, why not? @Brown Wolf- Well I know character rules suddenly got very strict and I didn't want to put work into characters I would just get criticized for it. |

Personally, I don't see any problem with canines having different eye
colors. There's no harm in it, and so what if they're not realistic.
It's not like they need approval. |
@Jenna- Well I meant more of a saphire blue, I have only seen ice blue.
@Nattikat- Yeah but I like creative things and since so much have changed I didn't want to start a bunch of arguements.
@Paxis- Ok that is an adorable puppy^^
