Mate talks

Question :

If you go and read the site rules, one of the first rules is no sexual talks or art. After that it said no mate talks. And here, on every char page, is the question, can I make a mate? And when they do, they just make countless puppies. I've seen a page where it said in the first litter there were 30 pups! That's almost impossible. I know I have asked about a mate before, but now that I think about it, is it against the site rules?

Best answer :

This is what "Mate talk" means:
Mate talk is when the member is saying they have a mate, another member on the site. Or using their fursonas and doing so, as fursona's are just a member's form as an animal, usually a wolf or dog. Pup talk is the same, a member pretending to be 'pregnant' and such. To me its the stupidest thing imaginable. If you see any of it, report it.

If it's member's fan characters though, as long as it's not too sexual, its alright. Just be sure you know the difference.

So no, if someone asked "Can I make a mate?" on a character page for the character, it is not against the rules.

Yes, there is a difference. It isn't against the site rules to comment on a characters page asking "Can I make him/her a mate?". But, it would be a lot better if members took even that into PM's.

So yeah, make sure you know the difference. If you do see any sexual/mate talk, make sure you do report it.
