Hello , I did make a search before asking this question , but then popped up replies that didn't have anything to do with my question so , I'd like to expain my upcoming project ( to make this question a little bit easier to understand ) . I'm working on a character who is going to be Balto related as Nava's offspring , and I have been looking for his breed to make my character up , I have been studying he most common breeds that have their natural habitats in cold places such as alaska , The one that suits my description better would be artic wolf , but most of those have fairer fur , and don't really suit Nava's characteristcs , and also around his pack so I could develop the character better ,, I haven't been able to match any of the rest of the characters ( almost none ) with any wolf breeds , since some of them were blue-greish ( not a ver realistic blue ) and brown tones that weren't really very lifelike , so I have a question ¿ or maybe a couple ?
- ¿ what are nava's breed and the most common ones around his pack ?
thank you for taking time to read my question , and thank you for your kind answers they will all be incredibly helpful

There are various species of the grey wolf. I suggest you take a look
at this site, it may help you identify Nava's breed. http://www.cosmosmith.com/wolfpage.html |

I must say, I do think as Nava as a gray wolf with that of lighter
grey colouration. Maybe he's a Timber wolf, with the same sort of
lighter gray colouration. The rest of the pack are the typical Grey Wolf. |

There are no arctic wolves in Alaska. They only populate a very small
portion of Canada (and an even smaller, VERY remote portion of the
extreme north of Alaska - like, well north of Nome). It is far more
sensible to view Nava as a timber wolf, the subspecies of gray wolf
(since even the arctic wolf is a subspecies of the gray wolf) that
lives in the mid to lower regions of Alaska. |

around north america and alaska , however , I'm really grateful to you
for your help , it actually helps to clear ideas out , even though
it's not really enough to clear things up |

Wolves don't have breeds, they have species. I personally think Nava is a arctic wolf, even if he is more greyish. As for the rest of the pack, I wold assume they are just grey wolves. http://www.animalcorner.co.uk/wildlife/wolves/wolf_species.html |
