QuestionWhy do the mods make up their own rules? I thought that was why the PREVIOUS staff got removed

And the current mods are doing that? I don't believe they are. The only thing that makes me think that someone would ask this because of the recent image thing that was brought up. And THAT rule has been around awhile as far as I'm concerned. I believe this is a rule Steet made that never made it to the public. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm not seeing any evidence of "power hungry mods." So accusing the current staff of doing so isn't very nice. Just because there is a problem with the images all of a sudden, doesn't mean that they're not following the rules that the instructions in their mod panel tells them.
The only problem I'm seeing here is a unclear set of rules. Which has always been a problem on Animation Source. And for whatever reason now is being brought to the light making it look like something that it is not.
If I'm wrong, then I'm sorry. IF someone on the staff IS indeed becoming power hungry, then report that moderator to Steet.

i hope this didn't sound rude, i'd like to state clearly that i didn't mention any mod, and i know there are mods that do their job correctly, but i also can tell that i've sent images that were deactivated because of reasons such as " you cannot feature balto characters on renders but in graphics", which cannot be found on the official rules http://www.animationsource.org/balto/en/send/&ch=4 |

I also think they do because of power lust, i'm not sure about itbut
if so, they really should understand that they are just "mods" i don't want to sound disrespectful, but, to my oppinion, they should really understand what's their job on the sources, which is making sure the OFFICIAL rules are beeing followed, and let the work of making rules to the webmaster who is the responsible of them And if you let me give you an advice, anything that isn't posted as official rule by steet, should not be taken as official, and if you get warned / deactiavted, for something you doubt it's featured on the official rules, you should send a message to steet about your problem |

Because they want power and give a (censored) about the real rules. What
they like is allowed, things they don´t like, not. When they aren´t fine with the rules given by steet they shouldn´t accept the mod-job, easy as that. Mods are there to make sure the official rules are to be followed, not made-up ones. And they are there to HELP the members not to tease them with their stupid own rules. With the new set of mods and clear rules from steet himself it was pretty calm on here (excepts the troll stuff, but that´s another story) But appearently at least one of the moderators is starting to get power hungry again. (Hmm, wasn´t that one of the reasons steet got rid of all, err almost all of his former staff? Seems like it´s time for a change again) And don´t get me wrong, I am not saying that ALL moderators are making up thier own rules, there surely are some moderators who do their job right in our current staff, just as there where some real moderators in our previous staff group. |
