Blank renders?

Date : October 16, 2011

Category : Animation Source site questions

Question :

They go in Fan images right?

I've seen a ton of them in fan image galleries and I made one and sent it into fan images, but it keeps getting deactivated, and the mod is saying it belongs in Fanart?

But that just doesn't sound right, i rendered the blank i didn't draw it.....

can i get another mods opinion or a site senor's opinion.

yes i figured that as well, the problem has been fixed but, now i am a bit worried about deactivation's for this same reason latter on in my submissions, if the moderator is still confused about the placement of Blank renders.

thanks guys again for giving me a second opinion

Well, if your linearts are drew by yourself with a white backround or a backround made by yourself, it goes in fanart. The other kinds of linearts, like a screenshot in white with a movie backround for example, goes in fan images.

well that's silly the blank render had a background... that was a screenshot..from the movie.

and even then the linearts for fanart have to be hand drawn....this was rendered...it just doesn't fit

Ohhhh. NOW I see the problem! This mod was talking about LINE ARTS, not blank renders. Apparently the mod thought you were sending a line art, so thats why he/she said to send it under fan art.

All they said was, that the images rules said that only colored renders go into fan images and sent me the link to the pages that come up before you send things (which was insulting because I HAVE read those) and they say nothing about Blanks going into Fanart....

But thank you two for clearing that up for me, I had a feeling something was a little off...Maybe they just misunderstood the rules.

If it's a blank render, I wouldn't know why a mod would be telling you to put it in fanart O_o

I'm a former mod, but you don't need a mod to answer this. Blank renders do INDEED go in fan images.
