Where can you safly upload GIMP brushes?

Spotted Shadow
I've heard of GIMP's exotic brushes, but I'm afraid of down loading one and letting a hacker or something in my computer (like I did accidentilly the last time down loading something). This is my last and only computer and if it crashes, I'm not getting another one until years, but I really want some brushes that allow me to make flowers, water, clouds, fur, ect... Does anyone know where I can safely down load one?

I think your best bet is to find the GIMP website. It should offer the
options you are looking for and it should be safe enough to download.
But this is only an assumption, I have no experience with GIMP. You can also try asking other artists who use GIMP regularly. I'm sure they are more educated with GIMP and could direct you to your answer. |

But really, you should have an anti virus on your computer (I personally recommend Avast) and scan the files before you use them. There are also add-ons that you can install on your browser that will detect if that page is good or not. Lastly, if the page your downloading from has comments, read them. If the page doesn't have comments, I wouldn't take the risk.
