So recently for my language arts class we can do a report on anything we wanted, and i chose to do one about Balto, the main question i need to awnser (but cannot seem to find) is this:

How old was balto when he died? And how did he die?

The exact date of Balto's birth is unknown, but they say it was quoted that Leonhard Seppala, Balto's owner, said that Balto was 6 at the time of the serum run. That would place his birth at 1919. Balto was partially deaf and blind, and had arthritis in his hind legs. He was put to sleep on March 14th, 1933 at 2:15PM.

he was born in 1919 and died on March 14, 1933, making him about 14, depending on when he was born.
