Images With Layers of Different Screenshots

On each of my images that I make with GIMP, I try to do mixed screenshots with layers and opacities and modes and all that, but they never come out quite right. If you look at the image below that I made, you can see very easily the borders on my images the I inserted, and I just don't understand how to make them go away!!

On some of my images, you can change the mode to make them go away, but, sadly, that usually only happens with one-color images... usually.

So, how can I make this go away? Any tutorials or ANYTHING would be helpful. it's driving me crazy!!

Use a large feathered eraser to remove the edges.

If GIMP has an airbrush, use the eraser tool with the airbrush selected to get rid of the edges.
