At the suggestion of some of my readers, I've decided to make a series of audio "books" based on my popular Toby fanfics. Scriptwriting is conducted by the one and only Skullblaka Shur'tugal, and there will be need for voice actors and some degree of sound effects expertise.

If you aren't familiar with the Toby series, I suggest you refer to Toby Part 1, found here: http://www.animationsource.org/balto/en/view_fanfic/Toby_Part_One_Hero_Worship/53901.html . It's the basis for our audio drama.

We'll start off with voice auditions for the key characters of Toby Part 1: Hero Worship, which are as follows. Lines will be listed for characters that haven't been given a voice yet.

Terry:

All right, everyone, settle down. Someone's coming.

Wait a minute... oh no.

Wait a minute, wait a minute! What's this about a gun?!

Rex: Skullblaka Shur'tugal

Toby: 

I won't get hurt. I'm practicing.

Someday you'll see that it doesn't take a purebred to be somebody.

I snuck in. I had to apologize, and I couldn't risk being seen. I... I don't think I could face your family after what I did.

Pete: Dragon Tamer

Luna:  Imagine

Balto: Skullblaka Shur'tugal.

Jenna:

I know what you mean. It's more fun to keep secrets, isn't it?

Extra voices will also be needed, so I can almost guarantee everyone will have a part. A fairly good mic is all you need; just record and upload a line or two from the character(s) of your choice.

I should add an amendment to what I said about choosing the lines for your audition. You may do so, but please choose lines conveying diverse emotions. I want to be sure all major voice actors can cover the full range of feeling we'll need.

Sorry, DT, but my audition will have to be delayed another day or two. I don't know what is wrong with my recording program. It works fine one day and doesn't the next I may just have to use iMovie, so hopefully I'll be able to send in a recording from there. Again, thank you!

galvaston --> I don't think you necessarily need a connection to record, just to send. But if a shed's the best place, go for it. Imagine --> A bit of exaggeration is fine. Just do the best you can, and once casting is finalized we'll work on details.

sound effects i can do do bark dog, yelp dog, fight, panting, Howling, Uh you name it if it's a dog sound i can do it. I'm a dog persone i've grown up around them and from time to time wrote storys about them.

Well, I'm very pleased to see so much interest in this project already. I'll get to work on picking out audition lines this evening or possibly tomorrow, depending on how things play out.
