At the suggestion of some of my readers, I've decided to make a series of audio "books" based on my popular Toby fanfics. Scriptwriting is conducted by the one and only Skullblaka Shur'tugal, and there will be need for voice actors and some degree of sound effects expertise.

If you aren't familiar with the Toby series, I suggest you refer to Toby Part 1, found here: http://www.animationsource.org/balto/en/view_fanfic/Toby_Part_One_Hero_Worship/53901.html . It's the basis for our audio drama.

We'll start off with voice auditions for the key characters of Toby Part 1: Hero Worship, which are as follows. Lines will be listed for characters that haven't been given a voice yet.

Terry:

All right, everyone, settle down. Someone's coming.

Wait a minute... oh no.

Wait a minute, wait a minute! What's this about a gun?!

Rex: Skullblaka Shur'tugal

Toby: 

I won't get hurt. I'm practicing.

Someday you'll see that it doesn't take a purebred to be somebody.

I snuck in. I had to apologize, and I couldn't risk being seen. I... I don't think I could face your family after what I did.

Pete: Dragon Tamer

Luna:  Imagine

Balto: Skullblaka Shur'tugal.

Jenna:

I know what you mean. It's more fun to keep secrets, isn't it?

I couldn't miss Kodi's big race, and the doctor says I'm doing better anyway.

Extra voices will also be needed, so I can almost guarantee everyone will have a part. A fairly good mic is all you need; just record and upload a line or two from the character(s) of your choice.

Thank you JC. FireFox, JC pretty much said it for me. I have nothing against Hispanic people, or any other races, mind you. But let's face it, Toby's born and bred in Alaska. If you can't manage an un-accented voice, we'll probably have to put you in as an extra.

Firefox --> I believe he means your Hispanic accent. Admittedly, that would be most difficult to do, considering that English is not your primary language. I don't know that DT would ever mean that in an insensitive, even racist way. So please don't get the wrong idea. But I guess he wants his characters to have a generally American accent...not one that sounds like someone from another country speaking in broken English with a thick accent.

JC --> You've never listened to Adventures in Odyssey? Oh, it's a great program. You should check it out at www.whitsend.org. There's a trilogy of episodes available for online listening right now about the Underground Railroad. I think you'd enjoy them.

Imagine --> Well, I kind of figured on Luna having two voices - one as a pup, the other when she reaches adolescence (which would be her adult voice, kind of). I'm told that voice-changing isn't usually as extreme for girls as it is for guys, so methinks you can keep voicing Luna all the way through.
