At the suggestion of some of my readers, I've decided to make a series of audio "books" based on my popular Toby fanfics. Scriptwriting is conducted by the one and only Skullblaka Shur'tugal, and there will be need for voice actors and some degree of sound effects expertise.

If you aren't familiar with the Toby series, I suggest you refer to Toby Part 1, found here: http://www.animationsource.org/balto/en/view_fanfic/Toby_Part_One_Hero_Worship/53901.html . It's the basis for our audio drama.

We'll start off with voice auditions for the key characters of Toby Part 1: Hero Worship, which are as follows. Lines will be listed for characters that haven't been given a voice yet.

Terry:

All right, everyone, settle down. Someone's coming.

Wait a minute... oh no.

Wait a minute, wait a minute! What's this about a gun?!

Rex: Skullblaka Shur'tugal

Toby:

I won't get hurt. I'm practicing.

Someday you'll see that it doesn't take a purebred to be somebody.

I snuck in. I had to apologize, and I couldn't risk being seen. I... I don't think I could face your family after what I did.

Pete: Dragon Tamer

Luna:  Imagine

Balto: Skullblaka Shur'tugal.

Jenna:

I know what you mean. It's more fun to keep secrets, isn't it?

Balto!

I couldn't miss Kodi's big race, and the doctor says I'm doing better anyway.

Steele: Berkshire 736

Copper: Mantisboy.

Taya: ThisKittehGotClaws.

Extra voices will also be needed, so I can almost guarantee everyone will have a part. A fairly good mic is all you need; just record and upload a line or two from the character(s) of your choice.

Join up, and help bring one of the site's best-loved series to life!

Galvesto n girl (swg)	March 12, 2012

Dt--> Ill post it on my facebook page, hope to help. I know my friends with mikes ill help

Jake Razor	March 12, 2012

GENERAL NOTICE TO EVERYONE --> I have been doing some recording for the project, including read-throughs of the first couple of scenes as well as an intriduction to the project itself. These are all rough drafts, but I'm posting them so those acting can use the read-throughs as sort of an emotional guide. Thanks again for participating, and I hope this lull will soon be over. Also, we should soon have some more voices filled. Imagine --> Glad you remembered. Mantis --> The basic script is set, though there will probably be fine-tuning right up to the end.

DT: I hope you get the script up soon.

Who knocks at the garden gate?

Yay! I forgot about this for a while

Jake Razor	February 29, 2012

I think we will soon have a voice actor for Terry, as well as voices to fill some other roles.

Jake Razor	February 02, 2012

Duly noted. I'll probably voice Pete's role myself.

	O' Cap'n My Cap'n!

I would like to make it crystal clear, and for the record, that I am stepping away from this project. I will not be voicing any character or participating in any way from this point forward.

Jake Razor	January 26, 2012

I think the next step, for me at least, will be to record a read-through of the script. I doubt I could do all the voices right to save my life, but if I post it on here then the emotions and such is it should at least help as a guideline for the voice actors and actresses.

Imagine	January 26, 2012
Who knocks at the garden gate?

Ok. Understandable.

Jake Razor	January 26, 2012

Imagine --> That we do. Unfortunately, I can't get online from home at the minute, and using my ic at public libraries is obviously something of a faux pas. So my involvement is temporarily limited.

Imagine	January 21, 2012
Who knocks at the garden gate?

Ok, we need to get moving on this project...

Juuchan1 7	December 19, 2011
	WQ > Balto > WoC

Eh, I figured... but I tried. Mic problems and such... I wish I had a headset to do voice work better, but USB mics will have to do. I'll get better at that, okay? - Juuchan17

Jake Razor	December 18, 2011

Well, your voice seems workable, but your emoting does need work. No offense, but you sound kind of flat.

Jake Razor	December 12, 2011

I'll be waiting.

Juuchan1 7	December 09, 2011
	WQ > Balto > WoC

I might still try for it [just to see if I can, you know?], but I did send my Terry tryout though! I tried lines for Toby and I think I could do better... I'll send that one when I get it to the point that I like it. XD I hope they're good enough! - Juuchan17

Jake Razor	December 08, 2011

OK. We have two candidates in the running for Steele already, just so you know.

Juuchan1 7	December 07, 2011
	WQ > Balto > WoC

DT: I'm thinking about trying for Toby or Steele also... but I can do female lines too. I'll have some files up ASAP, okay?

Jake Razor	December 07, 2011

Which other characters would you be trying out for? We ay have an opening for Taya if I can't reach ThisKittehGotClaws.

Juuchan1 7	December 06, 2011
	WQ > Balto > WoC

I know, I know... I'm completely insane for trying this, but I'm going to try out for a few characters, including Terry, the one you suggested last night! Hopefully they'll be up later today or sometime this week! - Juuchan17

Jake Razor	November 25, 2011

Jordan --> I can't seem to get to the page, but I'll check it out as I'm able. Starwars --> Excellent. I'll post her lines tomorrow or my name's not Dragon Tamer.

Guest	November 25, 2011

Ill try from jenna i got a head set now.

Jordan.	November 10, 2011
Find me on DA or FA (Links in profile)

Well, since I am already somewhat involved into Skuls audio project i think I´ll join this one too. You can find a voice sample of me here: http://sourcecast.mypodcast.com/2011/10/Meet_Jordan-360903.html (Not going to send in some lines of a character, just put me into any character you think my voice fits. If you find a use for me XD)

Who knocks at the garden gate?

Yay!

Jake Razor	November 09, 2011

Well, I did find my webcam/mic recently, and if all goes well i should have useable internet in my apartment within a few weeks. Once that's done, we should be able to get underway.

PLEASE choose a Toby and start recording soon! I want to get this show on the road!

Jake Razor	October 29, 2011

Siberian --> I'm sorry to hear that, and I hope you get a new mic soon. Your wishes are much appreciated.

Siberian	October 21, 2011

Even thought I really liked the idea of voicing Steele, I could never sound like Jim Cummings as Steele no matter how far I push my voice.. and my microphone stopped working.. Anyway, I wish you good luck with the project, I really enjoyed the stories.
