part 2 made me cry, it was just so depressing and sad what dusty had
to go through. but the entirely was so beautiful, the story over all
mad me cry. I cried during the whole thing!!!
There's no reason for a Part 4; I am, however, plotting out a sequel.
In the meantime, I'm almost done with "Into Canada", and I'm about
halfway done with "Twelve Angry Dogs". The Christmas story didn't
quite work out, but I'm still hoping to do it when I get the chance.
Oh, and be on the lookout for a story featuring Muk and Luk!
Sort of. It's a mix between AIO and the book "Twelve Angry Men". I
admit, I put in a bit of AIO into it, but it's near impossible to
parody ANY book without using something that was in a different
parody.
Good for you! No, there won't be a part 3; the story continues in
Into
Canada, which I have yet to start. I'm still writing "True Love"
and "Twelve Angry Dogs", and have started "Balto's Christmas Story".
across alaska part 2 was beautiful. too bad varadan had to die. he
was
my favorite character. will there be a part three to acroos alaska?
ps. I have finished blossoming romance and now awaiting it's approval.
Okay, some new news: I am working on a Balto Christmas story. I am
taking suggestions--any suggestions at all, no matter how wacky--as
to
what the story should be about.
Deadline for entries is
December
17.
I'm still working on my stories...all of them. It may take me a
while
longer than I had planned to get them finished. In retrospect, maybe
I
should have saved "Twelve Angry Dogs" for later...but I can't stop
now. So I'm still going...going...gone!
At least, I hope.
Which would you guys like to see more? True Love, Into Canada,
or
Twelve Angry Dogs?
If you read the "Characters from Balto" index, you'll see why Aniu
was
alive in Across Alaska.
I ahve started Into Canada...can't
tell
you--can't even begin to guess--when it will be finished.
I have just finished across alaska part one and it was an amazing
story. i never thought of boris as a sort of spritual guide. and
with
aniu alive, that was a big shocker. can't wait to read part two
Very sweet. You really put an emphasis on what's missing in a lot
of
relationships: developing a sensitivity towards how the other
person
thinks and feels. I'm definitely keeping an eye on your work, in a
good way.
Well, Varadan will play key parts in the future. I figured my fans
had
enough of reading about dogs and wolves, and a fox might spice
things
up a bit.
I am working on a parody of "Twelve Angry Men"
entitled "Twelve Angry Dogs". You'll have to see how it turns
out...and who's involved.
Wowzers, you're really good. Sorry I've kind of blanked out on
your
stories. But now that I'm reading them and they're wonderful.
You're
really good (again)! Can't wait to see more there pal.
Okay, I have finished Across Alaska--it should be up in a few days.
Also, I have started a new story called True Love, describing Jenna
and Balto's relationship before Wolf Quest.
Coming up: Into
Canada and More Journeys, Same Quest.
Okay, guys. I want to assure you that I have not forgotten to write
my
fanfics; on the contrary, I am working on one right now: "The
Passing
Ages". I'm just at a writer's block at the moment, but it's
passing.
Don't worry; it will be up by the end of the month.

Well, I don't mean to sound so defeatist. Good luck. I hope you
succeed. But that whole thing just didn't sound plausible when you
first laid it out. Hey - if you can make it happen, I say go for it!
When the time is right, I will follow the proper steps. But for
now,
all I'm doing is writing the stories; writing them is not illegal,
just publishing them. And if it comes to a legal dispute, then I
will
do the simplist thing and reduce to publishing my stories only on
BaltoSource.

The thing is, buddy, that every character in the Balto cartoons is
copyrighted property of Universal Studios (and, in the case of the
first cartoon, Amblimation as well - or Amblin Entertainment more
realistically). As a matter of copyright law, you could not use
any
of the characters from those cartoons, or even the titles of the
cartoons (even though the name "Balto" is public domain, given that
it
was also the name of a real, historic dog from the real Nome serum
run
of 1925) without first securing (through a lawyer practiced in
entertainment and copyright law) the written permission, by
official
legal contract, to use those characters by name in your novel.
Otherwise, you'd be facing the threat of a "cease and desist" order
or, worse, a lawsuit.
Have you secured such permissions?
If not, I would suggest you read up on that, and consult with a
lawyer
first...to save yourself a lot of heartbreak and financial woes
once
the copyright owners start catching wind of this (and it could only
be
a matter of time before they do).
That's fine; I understand completely.
I'm working on "Wings
of
Change" by the way. It'll take a while, but I'm hoping to have it
done
before Thanksgiving.
