As I understand it, it is okay to edit the story as long as it
follows
the basic plot; if it didn't, there would be no reason for a
copywrite
request. There are things that work well on film that wouldn't work
so
well in print; it's the same vise-versa.
Visit http://www.freewebs.com/baltonovel to learn more
about the book
itself. Or PM me if you have anymore questions
"emailing your girlfriend?" a bit too much info ther pal. Anyways
since I am not a talented writer (and don't plan on being one any
time
soon) is it legal to publish a book based on the film, but edited
it
without the knowledge or consent of the actual director or writer?
quote on quote, " This book follows the movie fairly well, but be
preared to for some new surprises!" If this is stated can it be
actually called Balto: The Novel... or would Balto: The (Edited)
Novel
based on the film by Universal Studios and is not about the REAL
BALTO
make a bit more sense...
I've edited my post...sorry, I got my facts mixed up; I was emailing
my girlfriend at the same time as I was posting, and I got my websites
mixed up somehow.
Read my edited post to learn what REALLy is going on.
And
keep checking for more stories!

At sixteen years of age, you've been asked by a huge motion picture
and television production company to write the novelization of two
of
its cartoons, and even a third, using its copyrighted characters.
Uh huh. I doubt that more than you can possibly imagine. Perhaps
you ought to post the signed agreement on the forum...along with
some
statement from your "agent".
And be advised, claiming
copyright over an existing copyright is grounds for a lawsuit by
the
actual copyright owner. I think this information, and the claims
you
are making, is something that Universal Studios would be very
interested in actually learning about...
I'm writing a book--which I hope to have published sometime
soon--which is based off of the movies, so yeah, you're going to see a
heck of a lot of stories coming soon!
Hmmm... i wasn't exactly thrilled but it was good. To see that you
hadn't made grammer mistakes and wrote the story in your POV. Well
thats pretty good to me. I hope to read more from you.
Short update: I'm starting to wonder if I should finish Camp Togo
myself. Thoughts, anyone? (Juuchan, I'm not impatient with you, and if
you want to continue writing it, just say the word.)
*sigh* Okay, Wolfheart is finally finished! *waits for applause...
gets crickets*
Does anybody even read my fanfics? If you
do,
then be advised that it will take me some time to get my next story
up.
