After Balto returns with the medicine, he and Jenna can finally start to get closer to each other. While he adjusts to no longer being an outcast, he reflects on his harsh youth and how it shaped him into what he is today.

After Steele's escape at the end of "The First Day", he stumbles into the town of White Mountain. There, he meets Sonya, someone who has a bit of a history with Steele, none of it good. While he spins lie about being separated from his team, she is not convinced of his story. She can tell he is hiding something, but she has no idea just how far Steele will go to keep his secret under wraps.

Aniu may be a spirit now, but she was not always that way. At one point in her life, Aniu had been a living, breathing wolf. She had lived like you and I do, and one day, she came across a husky dog that she would fall in love with. However, neither of them knew just how much their love would affect their own lives, along with the lives of others as well.

Balto has saved the day, and everything is looking peachy for him and Jenna, but not everyone is happy to have him around. There are still some dogs who still don't like the idea of having a wolfdog in their town, despite his great deed, along with a few of the human residents who are wary of half-wolves. This, along with the pull towards the wild that Balto has felt since encountering the white wolf makes him wonder whether his place is truly in the town. However, Balto isn't the only one dealing with an internal crisis, as Kaltag remembers mistakes he has made in the past and the present, and realizes just how much help he will need for the future.

Shortly after the events of "Finding Your Place", there is more trouble for Nome as Balto faces his next crisis. There have been skirmishes between sled dogs and a wolf pack who sees the dogs as hostile intruders. The wolves attack the town more than once to discourage the dogs from returning. Balto tries to make peace, but his efforts are hampered by the fact that neither side trusts a half-breed like him to help. He faces resistance on two fronts, but he soldiers on, resolved to bring peace.

After the events of "A Second Chance", Steele has been forced to adapt to a new life. No longer a champion lead dog, he must find other ways to cope with his current situation. Here, we see him on a typical day, running with his new team, and his new lead dog Sonya.

A step sideways with my Balto series, featuring a few side characters and set about four years before the first movie. Mayak (from "Like His Father") would trust his brother Mias with anything, but when that trust is tested, a darker side of Mayak starts to rear its head. This will not only bring danger to himself and his pack, but it will have effects on the fates of many for years to come.

Things have been quiet in Nome, but it's been a very tense peace. Balto knows that there's a wolf with a vendetta against him, but he's not the only one who is in danger from their wrath. It soon becomes a race against a pack out for blood, not only for him but Jenna as well... and this is a race that neither of them can afford to lose.

With a litter of pups on the way and strange dreams to contend with, Balto is having a hard time catching a break. As if that wasn't enough, he also fears his pups will face the same prejudices he did because of their part wolf breeding. His worries lead him to seek out guidance on this matter... but that guidance will come to him in a very unexpected way.

The Trans-Alaskan Derby is the biggest sled race of the year, and Balto will have a chance to take on the challenge. He's not the only one running this year though - Steele's new owner is entering the race as well, giving the disgraced husky a chance to reclaim his former glory. New friends and old rivals with go toe to toe with each other, but the vigors of the wild won't be the only thing they'll have to watch out for. From the start of the race strange things start happening to the teams, leaving the racers to wonder if it's just another test of the wild... or if something more sinister is behind it.
