Very well done, I wonderful story in which I enjoyed tremendously, Like I was back in the cab of my own units for a few moments! but there are a few things that if you really want to be a stickler about: I thought that Conway had ground air, as in a compressor being located on the ground and the train already having air before the locomotives were attached, that way Balto wouldn't have had to wait on an air build up. I also noted the missing Brake test. In which Kodi should have had Balto make a 20 pound reduction then walk the entire train and make shire the brakes were applying on every car. This should have been done evry time the train stoped insted of Kodi just "takeing a walk" This lack of a brake test would have gotten both Balto and especially Kodi being the conductor, a pink slip! Also, unless the rules in this district are different, the Piedmont Division rulebook states that when a motor vehicle is struck by any peace of moving equipment, the crew is NOT allowed to leave the cab or move the train. Kodi should have stayed with Balto and waited for the authorities. By moving the train he has damaged the scene for the report later on in which it must be confirmed were the train stopped and were the car was hit. Now I understand aloting this stuff becuse in my own railroad stories I alot most of the radeo talk and yard preperations, for time and becuse I don't want to lose my aduinces interst on the story. Its a very realistic modern day railroad run. A few FRA violatons and I must admit...Balto is lucky to have a unit with a working tolet! Non of the Units at SERX have any form of a working tolit system! I am looking forward for more of you modern Railroad stories! |

Railwolf, Conway does indeed have ground air. I should of reworded it different. More specifically when Balto is doing the air test. As for Kodi having to walk the train to make sure the breaks are working, that is what the carman does. When 11E hits the SUV, the only movement afterword is when they stop and when they are cleared to leave. As for toliets, under PA State law, each train must have a working toliet in the lead motor. I dont know if Ill do anymore. Just kind of winged this one but who knows. I may. Dunno. |
