Sorry for trying to be helpful everyone. And I'm sorry that I don't put much stock in my art work: it's just (censored) I do to pass time; I'm NOT trying to be a good or popular artist or anything. I know what's good art, I just don't have the patience to make my art like that.

Anvik, seriously...I wouldn't worry about these few criticisms you've received about your style resembling that of the Balto movies. Please . There are SO MANY artists here, and on deviantArt (and other art sites), who are fans of one animated series or another, who have flat out copied or else been influenced by those things, that NO ONE has a right to criticize like that. NO one. (I tend to respect Kazzy's opinion. However, I wouldn't put much stock in what Adiko said For all the bluster in her criticism, I don't see anything particularly unique, realistic or compelling in her gallery. Hypocrisy often starts in the mind of someone who looks down their nose at you. Personally, I think your material far exceeds the quality of hers).

One) I TOTALLY agree with Kazzy. You're art IS good, but, seriously, largely stealing Universal's Balto's style? You'll never get any better unless you develop your own style; look at real pictures of wolves, doodle, look at other art, anything. Just DON'T steal, and draw reasonable, at least somewhat realistic stuff. For example: I don't think you'll EVER see dogs with huge heads and big bodies like yours walking around on tiny little stick legs. Not gonna happen.


Two) "DO NOT COPY MY ARTWORK. THAT GOES FOR POSES & CHARACTERS(W/O PERMISSION)." Seriously. Come ON. Half of the poses in your gallery are from THE FREAKING MOVIES. If you're willing to all but trace from them, why can't we do the same to you, hmm? For some people, poses are hard enough to come up with as it is, and as long as you're not completely tracing it, it should be fine. As for the characters, NO ONE should steal characters, so that's fine, but honestly, are you on something? Don't be a hypocrite: If you steal from Balto, that gives people the right to steal from you.

I think Anvik's style is great, Keilidh! She shouldn't change a thing! Besides, it's up to her where she wants to take her art, but I think it rocks as it is! Anyone who thinks otherwise will be "barracuda-ed" by me! (not fun)

O_o I was giving critique. No need to overreact like that. The only way an artist can get better if through critique, I didn't say "Your art sucks so bad!1!!!1!!!" or anything. I pointed out that I think Anvik has potential but needs to be more original. Please don't react so rudely next time.

Your art is good, but trust me when I saw this. Copying the style Balto characters are drawn in won't get you anywhere on this site, because so many people do it and people are sick of seeing it. Ty developing your own style, ref' from photos of real wolves rather than Balto screens and take little aspects of other peoples styles for example, the way they draw eyes. I'm sure you'll develop a great style in time.
