A tip? Well, I don't
think it would help if I said it is important with training.
What may help you is, if you draw by hand, don't be afraid
to get dirty. Use your hands and fingers to blur the
shades.

I always look at a picture when I draw
(cheating?). If you do that you have help to see where the
shades are supposed to be. :D
