Purpose:

The main purpose is that in my version of Balto's background, Anyu's twin brother now has the difficult task of raising the two little girls she left behind in his care, Nukka and Sura, I thought that it would be a good idea to let him find a female to help him out with this new burden... so why not allow the members of Balto Source to play a part?

Basic/Additional Character Information:

Kamik's character page is HERE. He is Balto's uncle by blood, and they have never seen each other face-to-face, nor do they know of each other's existence. By the time he gains charge of Anyu's daughters in 1922, he is 4 years old. His father is deceased, and his mother is taking charge of the pack with her new mate until Kamik finds his Alpha Female.

Rules and Guidelines:

- The mate candidate must be female, obviously. She must also be realistic in appearance [no sparkledogs please], but she can be either a purebred wolf or a wolf-dog. If she is half-wolf, the other half should be husky or a breed that looks like a wolf or a husky [like a Samoyed, Malamute, Chow, etc.]; being a protective wolf, Kamik is skeptical about any type of dog that doesn't look like a wolf, even though he still has a bit of a grudge on huskies, thanks to his sister's mate.

- The mate candidate must have a character page on the Balto Source site. The more detailed and interesting the backstory is, the better the chances! Make sure that the character's age and their timeline of eventsin their life must match Kamik's time; his story takes place three years before to the events of the original film and its sequels.

- A reference sheet of your mate candidate must be sent in here as your entry and/or present on the character page you send in. Renders are okay, but not preferred; I would love to see drawn art rather than renders though. No unedited screenshots or anything that you have not drawn/made yourself.

- Any member of Balto Source can participate in this contest; each member can only enter one (1) character into the contest. Questions may be asked about the contest or the character of Kamik either here or by PM.

- All entries must be turned in by the deadline of March 15, 2012 - no excuses. Judging will begin soon afterward, and I will announce a winner in April 2012.

Prizes:

Only one winner will be chosen amongst all entries.

The winner's main prize is that their female will be added onto his profile as his mate/companion. The winner will have to share permission of the winning mate candidate, allowing me to use the character for any future fics and art pieces that will also feature Kamik. If things do work out, pups being born from their possible relationship are a possibility, so permission of those will be shared between the winner and myself. We will have to talk about how things should go, depending on who the winner is.

Also, I'll make either a render or a hand-drawn piece of fanart of the two of them together for the winner.

Good luck and get working on those characters!
