Linearts are still allowed to be used and mods are still discussing adoptables.
Officially validated by Steet
Hello members of Animation Source!
I revised it and just got to the point, I apologize for any prior confusion.
In your fanimage gallery, there should be at least 1 graphic. (example shown below) If you are planning to make an image gallery soon, then your first image must be the graphic.
Blank renders are still allowed. Renders are still allowed. Just remember that 20% of your gallery should be images/graphics of official site characters.
Also, if you send in a blank render/lineart a character icon should not be included.
Along with renders, wolf makers, horse makers, Dolldivine ect... are no longer allowed in any source. Studying the image rules it states "Pictures drawn by other artists aren't allowed." So we won't accept them anymore. This also applies to the character full body image, it cannot be made on dolldivine or any other wolf/horse/lion ect maker.
Starting in a week, moderators will start deactivating galleries that do not have at least 1 graphic within the gallery.
Examples of graphics:
Avatars-
Banners-
Signatures-

Mini modding: The mods have agreed we have seen an increase in mini modding going on in alot of the sources. Please, if a moderator is handling the problem, allow them to. If a moderator is not around, report the problem, don't try to take it on yourself. Also, please, when reporting something add the comment "reported" so other know that it has already been reported. Along the same line, don't just bash the member. Actually give them real critique so they can use it in the future. Only pointing out the problem won't help them get better.

Kash - It's not really a matter of what you like or don't like to do. It's a rule, so everyone has to follow it. No exceptions. Like Moss said "If you disagree we apologize but it will stay there." I think that applies to this situation as well.
Endless Night - Yes, renders with OC and canon characters are still allowed. The only thing that has changed is that 20% if your image gallery has to be graphics. As far as I am reading, the rules on renders haven't changed.
Wolf
JC -- I suggest you be quiet before you get yourself in trouble. You and Mighty are not mods so stop acting like it. And threatening to contact Steet is immature and low, even for you. Then again, you've done it before.
Moss -- I believe I understand what all this means. And, in truth, I wish I could help. Just saying.

You turning into another former staff member over such as this? I am on no witch hunt. And I have no reason to contact steet...YET. But given that recent addition, you may be sure I am very, very close.
If you disagree we apologize but it will stay there. I am not going to argue about something like this.

This does not constitute mini-modding. And so long as they are not flaming a member or bullying them, a negative criticism does not equate with "bashing". Thought policing is not effective or justifiable moderating. You cannot adjudicate simple opinions, and you will run into increasing conflict and difficulty if you try.

For everyone else who is stressing about creating a graphic, here is a really simple I made on MS Paint. You can create something like this and it will be counted as your graphic.

Personally, I find that a much more suitable place for them than the fanimage galleries. -shrug-

IDK if you've seen my gallery or not, but do you see that image of Kiara? Would that count as a graphic? I mean, it's not lineart. It's just a screencap with some graphics and text I made with gimp.

with renders (mostley on LKS and SS) if somone uses say disneyscreencaps.com's caps do they have to credit them? i belive they do as its there caps ,they have a site to run with out credit they lose people who might come to them

Mods - This news says "Along with renders, wolf makers, horse makers, Dolldivine ect... are no longer allowed in any source." So, are renders no longer allowed at all? If so, I'm going to have to edit my last comment... Oops...
Charlee- No no, linearts are still allowed. BUT, in your gallery please add a graphic you made yourself. If you only have MS paint I would suggest a avatar.
Silverbreeze- As I stated above for wolflover, it wasn't simply "poor moderation" but the rules were unclear and at the time we accepted a colored lineart/render as the first image. We have cleared that up now c: And you do not have to replace your first image, just send in a graphic and we will validate it. That will count as a graphic, even if it isn't your first one.
Annita- Feel free to PM me about what you are confused about and I will try to clear it up for you!
Fido- Then you should be fine...
You can :draw: whatever you want, and however much of it you desire. But according to this, at least 20% of what you : post: here has to be Balto related (preferably concerning canon characters rather than fancharacters, some of which are quite questionable in their true relation to the movies.) This post deals in particular with the image galleries and the mass overload of renders that fill the place.
