I don't think it really matters. If you look at Balto Central everything, from the begining, there has had a place where you can rate the piece of art. People normally don't get too upset about the outcome of it either. It's only when someone leaves a comment belittling the art or the artist that it really bothers anyone.

But, as I said, you're the only one to complain for the moment, everyone else seems to like this system; if this is not the case for someone, if you'd prefer that I remove the rating system, then just tell me; I don't mind. But Loop, I think you can understand that I won't remove it if you're the only one to want so.

If they wouldn't give bad marks, by which I assume you mean they wouldn't say a picture was bad if they thought it was, then what's the point of a rating system anyway? Either you've got that situation, or you've got the aituation where they do say what they think, and artists risk having their feelings hurt and egos bruised. Sorry, just IMHO, and since I don't draw it's really no concern of mine I suppose. But I can say that I'm not posting any ratings because I'm not going to lie about how much I like something, and I'm also not going to risk hurting someone's feelings by telling the truth (yes, I review movies, but I doubt Disney is going to be upset over my giving TLK 2.5 stars when they've made a billion dollars from it)

I don't think that a small rating will hurt anyone...If I was an artist, I would take that as a type of feedback, a general opinion. And I know that people woudn't give bad marks. Well, if there are other people who think like Loop, then just tell me, I may remove this mark system and leave the comments one. Just give me your opinion...

Sorry, but I have to disagree with you on this one. I think a rating system is a really bad idea, and if I were an artist I wouldn't want my stuff included in it. A comments option maybe, but not a rating. It would just makes it seem too much like an ego-inflating/shattering competition.
