I've finally been able to take some time and examine all the problems that happened on the forums. (and the site)
The more I study the problems that happened on the site, the more I see that...everyone has a part of responsability into this.
Now, my conclusions on some members here. I know by advance that the concerned people will not like at all what I will say, and I also may be wrong, I don't always use the good terms (yes, I'm still not a native english speaker), but that's what I have concluded.
BaltoSepalla -> Yes, you clearly want to help the site. But you're not doing it the right way. I must say I agree with you on a lot of points, although the problem is that you want to get involved in everything on the site. So immediately, you're bound to bump into other people's opinions, and that's how some wars are started. Also, you just can't let things go. You can not just stop posting messages in a topic, you always have something to add, and - you may not be aware of this, but - this is very, very annoying. People don't listen to what you have to say, and I strongly think this is also due to the fact that almost no one wants to read extremely long messages. Get to the point! But worse than this, it seems it goes as far as sending private messages to the members for continuing the discussion. They may not be insult messages, but still, no one likes receiving messages like this. You MUST stop that. Do not send private messages to the members when they have said something on you or anything like this. Also, I must say that I still don't agree with your opinion about the fanart stealing, and you should have understood from the start that next to no one here would have agreed. In a general way, you should stop posting messages when you see that no one is listening to you. (and this is exactly what happened in the fanart topics)
Catwhohas14tails, Grhaeh Lit, DrewTheWolf and some others -> I feel that you are closed-minded and don't really listen to the other opinions. It could be the fanarts, the Balto 4 project, the Balto sequels, the trip etc...Everytime, you can't just listen and understand the opinions of the others. Stay open! Also, you've become close, and you try everytime to support the opinion of your friends, and you're shouting your opinions. Same as BaltoSepalla, you just can't let it go...Finally, you made repeated personal attacks to BS, about his age, etc...While I really don't think it was deserved.
Togo -> I think it's very clear, but I'll repeat it : You just didn't like the idea of getting new mods. You were free to express it, but asking people to send flaming messages, as well as keeping posting messages to the new mods, saying that they are not up to it, really weren't good ideas.
Nick and the other mods -> You seem to be afraid of interfering into the battles. Either you were not there when they happened, or maybe you didn't want to get involved into them, for any reason. The thing is, I haven't seen any of you trying to get in front to stop the wars, while it is your first job. What are you so afraid of? No, a mod job isn't just locking useless topics, I'm sorry. And this is valable for Togo too : I didn't see any post from you when the fanarts stealing problems happened, and this was before I decided to get new mods. As for your temporarily removal of the mods powers, I think it's enough and I'm ok to give them back to you. If you accept, of course.
The other members -> No one tried to step in, in order to resolve the conflicts. Instead, you just followed one side or another, by repeating the same things. This is not the good way to act.
Me -> I was not there when I should have been. I'm really sorry for this, but with all the work I have to do, the the stress I had that even lead to health problems, I could just not manage this. The main thing I had to do was to study the problem myself, by reading what people posted on the forums/site, and not letting people sending me messages because the truth is always deformed when in this case. I've done it, I just hope it's not too late to do something.
Now, how to resolve this. First, from the above list, the concerned people must change the way they acted.
Then, I need people who KNOW how to be OBJECTIVE. Mods or not. In all the "wars" topics I've read, there was nobody to stay in the middle and keep people from battling. The problem is there, we need NEUTRAL members. Or, we need mods who are not afraid of stepping against others and resolve things.
I suspect most of you to have made friends on the site, and as such, you try to defend them even if this means paying attention to what the others have to say. I'm sorry but I don't accept this idea of "clans" on my site.
From now on, if I see anyone I've listed, involved in any little conflict on the forums, they will be banned, and I'll do this personally. I don't care who this can be, mod or not, if I find that there was again such a conflict, it will be an immediate ban. Just stop the fighting, let it go. It seems very difficult for some people here.
I have thought of some little things to prevent these things from happening. You will be informed as soon as these things will be on the site.

that you had time to read my PM (that's what I guessed by
reading the news). Compliments Steet.

But then again, I don't go that much on the forums. You
wrote that pretty well Steet. Next time when I see a
conflict I'll step in and try to solve it, no matter if I'm
a mod or not. Anything for BaltoSource!!

to be ramped up more. Not in quantity however, but quality.
I'm not doubting or putting down the current moderator
roster and I do not intend to incite a fight. Just voicing
my opinion. I think that there are so many mods that they
are just bumping into each other and things aren't running
as efficiently as they can be. I don't know enough about
what goes on in the "Authorized Personnel Only"
areas, but I have seen that there may be too many people
running the place...Your call though, won't make a
difference to me.

reason why none of us underlings (non-mod members) stepped
into stopping the "flame wars" was because we were
afraid as well . . . mainly afraid of the possibility of
being bullied by mods saying things like "You're not a
mod, stop trying to do a 'Mod's Job'," or something
similar to that, and also possible banning or something. I
really want this site to return to the way it was, just like
Raven previously stated, so it's up to all of us to forget
about this stupid war and just get along again! No one is
just like you; everyone is going to prefer their own things
and likes (like with fanart, fics, and other preferences),
so don't hate, appreciate! We all love Balto, so we
shouldn't be so angry at each other just because someone is
different! Again, Steet, I wish you good luck and success
with this resolution!

you said (and more, I suppose). I know I'm not always on the
site and the forums, but if you're looking for a
"neutral" member, that member would be me. I
really don't like fighting, so I really wished that I could
have done something in order for this to have been over ages
ago. I mean, with all of the "stupid wars" that
were going on, I really didn't fit into any of them. I
agreed, and yet I disagreed. But I will agree that they were
"stupid". I hope that your plan will take action
and will be a success for all of us (so that we can all get
along and remember that one thing that connects us all)!

someone had the sence to stand up and say something to stop
it all hopefuly people that are popular on the site wont
think they are to importand and giv the less popular people
a chance to say somthing...im probly not helping and probley
makeing things worse but its just what i think
ease you of your...er...dilema.
What do you not get?
way they were before the endless flame wars and the whole
let's-team-up-with-our-friends thing. I know I don't really
post on the forums anymore, but I observe. The fights
weren't getting out of hand, they were just doomed to go on
forever.
er

awesome job Steet and all this just seemed to be a fight
after another I'm sure people won't change just because of
this news but since this is the "root" of the
problem some members will react to this as if it was (and it
is the base of member's way to act mostly) well how do I put
it... in a fight for example insted of having people saying
: "No Balto Seppala you're insulting cat; your sarcatic
remarks have made all the problem just get a life"
people won't say that because they know that think
differently so if that's the case and they post something
like that they know that if you saw it they're out, on the
other hand now that they know you know they could be even
more hypocrital (sp?) on their comments and organize better
to continue the little fight (which would only make it more
difficult to solve the problem) even though this is a big
step to solving some conflicts, and I wasn't here for a
while socI don't know much for the mod section, but
something I did notice was that they seemed to be afraid of
the little conspiracy that was going on which they should of
abviously not have been I can understand how it feels to be
in a topic with loads of people against you, but if you
react like that then I guess the people who stood up and did
say what they should have are more mods than them, now for
the other part here people have this stupid coward way to
think that goes kinda like this "if it's not your
bussines; no matter who is good, who is bad; stay out of it
or else you're just making trouble to yourself- mind your
own bussiness" acording to what I've seen well some
mods sadly had that.
I'll do my best to step in and make it stop. ^^ I'm glad you
have spoken your mind about this, Steet.
to take these advices for the shout boxes too. In a general
way, never hesitate to ban someone for one day if you have a
doubt. But warn them before at least once.
Wolf
been in fights before.. and I'm not proud of it.
just say that I'm glad that you finally spoke your mind
about the entire situation. It sure cleared up a lot of what
I was thinking. I'll be sure to try and step in from now on.
I tried resolving conflicts on the shoutbox the best I
could...but I guess I should try it on the forums too. See,
honestly, I thought that stepping into fights on the forums
was the job of the global forum mods...so I just tried to
avoid the topics with flaming and wars.
But,
from now on, I'll try harder.
messages to the concerned people, but sometimes it's also
useful to send messages in the topic itself so that everyone
can see it.
BEAST
a lot about these wars, but mostly behind the scenes rather
than up front. I don't know if you noticed, and I'm not
trying to sound conceited, but during the fanart theft
conflict, I was one of the first ones that tried to make
some sort of compromise-while everyone else was off fighting
and screaming at each other. After that, I tended not to
get involved in wars at all-at least, not up front. If
someone was causing trouble on the forums continuously and
someone alerted me of it, I'd ban them (reading through the
topic first to see who the cause of the trouble was, of
course). I'm trying to do my job better. I'm trying to
help solve these wars without getting too involved in the
actual fighting. I guess you're still not aware of a lot of
things going on behind the scenes. And although I've been
trying my hardest, I know I could do my job better...and
I'll keep trying. Always room for improvement...
