No, it's not a Balto game despite of the name, but I have the feeling this will interest most of you here.
This is a MMORPG (Multiplayer Online Game), currently in development, which features - as the name suggests - wolves as the main characters. It is a learning game, developed in relation with the Minnesota Zoo, although it still seems pretty interesting.
The homepage for this project can be found here :
Finally, it is planned to be released on December 2007. Mmm, maybe I should ask them if and when they will search for Beta testers?

to some other games similar to that. Would be nice if they
included some Balto characters. They'd probably get extra
traffic then.

$508253 grant from the National Science Foundation. I did
a little research and found the following link:
http://www.nsf.gov/awardsearch/showAward.do?AwardNumber0610
427 Granted (no pun intended), a half million isn't enough
to fund a 3-D game so I am sure that there are secondary
funding sources.
Based on the NSF Award
information and WolfQuest's website, WolfQuest is an
educational game on aimed primarily at the 9-13 age range,
and secondarily at parents, since this will be an online
game. That said, I'm looking foward to this game even
though I'm in my mid-20s. I think this may be the 3-D
version of 1994's Wolf.

And weither I would have to buy it, or not, I would still
play it. Me, And HydraPhalanx, have already stated that we
would totally play that game together. I have left comments
on the WQ site, and sent my e-mail to get updates on it. I
posted my concerns, and other things. I think if they can
make this work, it would become a fantastic game.
Thanks for linking it Steet. Now I can say I have a
'mind-numming' game to play, just like everyone else in my
family. Haha!
