Universal is going to release a dvd pack with the three films :
The pack's release date is 6th November 2007, for only 20$ - which seems to be an appropriate price. Only for the USA for now (there's a similar pack in Australia too, that was released several months ago)
At least! They didn't release anything about Balto in the USA since the release of Balto 3 two years ago. This isn't much but it's definitely a step in the right way. If you don't have these films on dvd yet, I say go for it!
I've made a lot of changes on the site too. Most changes are invisible to you - but they allow me to manage the site more automatically and easily, so that I may consider making other sites in the future.
Changes included are :
- Added support for PNG format for all the images you can send (fanarts, fanfics, etc...) and added GIF for the parts that didn't support it.
- Added something to prevent sending gamebooks with less than 10 pages.
- Added a "sketcher" on the fanarts : you can now draw directly on the site!
- Added a "404 error" message page
- Corrected a BIG nasty bug : some people said that they lost their profiles sometimes. Well, I think I've found the problem : every once in a while, a new account would be created while there was already one on the site. This bug only affected the site profile, not the forums, so you could still see your PMs and all, but your galleries and profile would be lost. I'm not exactly sure why it only occured for some people, but now I've done something to not let it happen again.
- In the same kind, corrected a big problem with the french members connecting on accounts from english members...
- Removed display of "unread messages" warning on the forums
- New poll
- More things that I can't remember...

Mmm, I don't have too much time. I knew that some people would have problems with this, but this was the only sketcher program I've found which fitted all the requirements. You should ask this on the "Questions" page, I'm sure other visitors can help you, and it could help others. |

I have no clue how to ubcompress it. X_X Can you PM me with step-by-step, idiot-proof instructions? XD |

It's a compressed file. Use a software like winzip or the windows integrated software to uncompress it... Then go into the folder you get, you'll find the image. |

Can you spare some help? I tried to save my images (via sketcher), but it saves a FOLDER and not the image? How can I save the image only? |

But you have to make sure you have a dvd player that can read all regions. |

Awesome update! I still know tons of people my age that remember Balto, so this is a great way to get the next generation of Balto fans! hurrah. Now if only they could release a three-film set of the Balto trilogy . . . I mean, I betcha it'll happen soon, especially since other films are getting that treatment (I know the LBT series has been doing that for a couple of years with some of its sequels). And Steet: Thanks for allowing PNGs at last! I mainly use PNGs for my work, so it's perfect timing for my return to the site! Thank you, thank you, thank you! |
