History: She, along with her brothers and sisters, were scared and alone when their parents went out hunting and never came back. She was the one that brought them to shelter, but Balto got separated from his family. Anya’s siblings wanted to go looking for him, but she said that if he was stronger he’d still be with them, and to forget about him because he is weak and not worth the time. They soon found a pack to join. The alpha was Proud and his mate-for-life was Leaf. Leaf was barren, so she decided to adopt Anya and the rest of the pups. Anya and her siblings grew up with the pack, well fed and watered. And then a miracle happened when she and her family were whelps (1 year old). Leaf was pregnant! Proud considered his options. Let the pups he had raised stay and be a threat to his new sons and daughters, or kill them. Anya heard him talking to the elders about it.
When she told her siblings, they didn't believe her. For the first time, she had no idea what she should do. And so she ran. She ran from her problems, and she would regret it forever. She ran into another lone wolf, an elder raven black malamute named Chairavali, and together they began searching for a place to call their home. Chairavali began to teach Anya how to fight (Chairavali was in the Puppy Bowl all her life, but that’s another story), and Anya was determined to make Chairavali proud. For weeks and weeks she practiced, until she was sure she knew every move by heart and had them down perfectly. One day, when Anya was out hunting for Chairavali and herself, she sensed danger.
Rushing back to the den they had resided in for months, she spotted three foxes cornering Chairavali against the back wall of their den. Chairavali was snapping at the foxes, but they both knew it was futile. Even a younger wolf couldn't stop 3 grown foxes. Anya rushed to her friends aid, and together they fought. When the battle was over, Chairavali collapsed from blood loss Anya had a few scratches of her own, but they could wait. Anya was very worried, but Chairavali used her last breath to tell her that she didn’t regret a single thing, and that she thought of her as her own daughter. And then, first the first time in her life, Anya cried. Anya now lives alone, afraid that if she let herself get close to anyone else, she’d just be disappointed again.
Relation to Balto: Balto's sister.
