Ganto's birth was a hard one, for both him and his mother. He was a breached (came out hind feet first), and became stuck, so his mother's owner had to help get him out. Following him, his sister came out easily, but his mother was exzausted and had to be watched carefully for a few days.
His mother recoverd and was fine, and Ganto seemed to be fine as well. At least for awhile. After the pups turned eight weeks old, Ganto began acting odd. He'd blank out at random and would look like a deer caught in a pair of headlights. He'd come to after a bit, but if anything happened during that time he was blanked out, he couldn't remeber it.
After he and his siblings were grown and sold, his mother's owner moved and he hasn't seen or heard from her since. Ganto was bought by a young musher who needed a lead dog. Thinking Ganto would be good for the job, the man bought him.
At first Ganto seemed to do okay as lead dog, but then he had a blank episode during a trial run over a lake and the entire team got tangled in a heap. One of the dogs ened up breaking it's leg, and the musher wasen't pleased with Ganto. He borrowed a replacment dog from a friend and took the team out again, only to have the same thing happen.
The musher gave up, thinking there was obviously something wrong with his lead dog, and put him up for sale.
Ganto was then bought by a older musher who needed a dog to replace one of his that had died. He liked Ganto and bought him, even after being warned of the acidents.
Ganto was placed on a team led by an older male. Ganto was placed next to a female on the team. The female at first ignored him, but when Ganto had a blank episode on one of their runs, she picked up his slack until he came to. Grateful that she was willing to help him, the two became friends.
After about a week, Ganto discoverd his family had moved to town. Excited about seeing them, he went to find them, only to find out that his father and little sister were having a spat about some male.
Discourged about the fighting, and that his older brother Lanito was siding with his father, Ganto went and told his female friend his thoughts.
Other: In his early sled dog days, he met a female called Kanence who was kept as a house pet for the musher's niece who lived with him. Ganto and Kanence became friends, and after about a month, Kanence exsplained to Ganto why the musher really had her. The musher used her as a breeding dog, and bred her with males with inpressive bloodlines. She was misrable about this, and only did it because the mushers niece loved the puppies and Kanence loved seeing the little girl happy. Ganto felt awful for her, and did his best to cheer her after any males came around for breeding purposes. He couldn't do much, but Kanence was grateful for his atempts. After Ganto's acidents and the musher sold him, he never saw Kanence again.
He's skinny and lanky looking. Not ideal for a sled dog, but he's quick and that picks up for him being less musculer then the others.
