Other: Moki was adopted into a poor Irish immigrant family when he was eight weeks old. His family's only child was deaf and since Moki liked spending time with her the most, he became a mute. Since his family hadn't had a lot of money, Moki would go for days without eating, and thus stunted his growth. He wasn't much of an outside dog, especially after his father, had attacked him once, convinced his son wouldn't speak because he was mentally retarded. He lived hapily in silence with his girl for about two years until his family couldn't afford to feed him anymore so they had to sell him. His humans thought the man who bought him would be a good owner for him since he had said he had many animals, but they were dead wrong. Instead, Moki was transported to an animal testing facility in Russia. He was scared and felt very alone in the place. He could hear other animal screaming in pain and there was an unbearable stench of burned flesh throughout the building. For a while, he was left alone in the crate. It wasn't until one day when another test animal died that Moki was used for testing eye drops. It was horrible. His eyes burned and stung, but he couldn't bring himself to yelp or cry out. But that was only the beginning. The men in white would cut him and put horrible smelling and painful medicine on the open wounds. He was beginning to lose all of his hope finally after having a tube surgically implanted in his throat. His flesh wounds never healed, the medicine hadn't worked, and he finally died from infectious diseases due to the orrific experiments conducted on the poor canine.
