Name: Denali Wolfe Silvermoon

Background: As a member of the Unalaq, Denali is one of the only surviving members of the family along with his brothers Zion and Yukon; sisters Haven and Alpine. He was a young wolf in the pack Wolvensong, the infamous pack of Aniu, many moons ago. Unlike his brother, Denali wasn't forced to really grow up, being that he was his mama's little brute. Although that doesn't make him overly dependant, he tends to cling to Yukon, unless he's in the confines of the Unalaq, where even there he shares a den with his brother. Over the years, Denali has grown very attached to Yukon and now they are inseparable. Being that he never fully grew up, he tends to act more like a pup, and he always looks at the glass not HALF full, but overflowing; always looking on the bright side of things.

Personality: Denali is a little bit crazy. He's happy all the time, especially around Yukon. It is believed that his past is what shook him to the core and caused him to hide from the world. But at the same time, not only is he happy, but he tends to act extremely cute, chasing the butterflies, chewing on trees, and trying to play with the younger members of the Unalaq, being that he usually gets tackled and pinned when roughhousing with the older wolves. Although Denali seems somewhat of a wimp, his form says otherwise. He's a bit smaller than Yukon, but his physique is quite a bit more defined. He's as protective as Yukon, but he doesn't quite know how to show it. The workings of his mind may seem simple, but he's very confused. He matures, yet, being put into a pack causes him to not have to be completely dependant, and he's very loyal to them. In other words, he doesn't act his age, but, he doesn't cause any trouble in doing so. He's loving and caring, and all he can think about is being happy and making others happy.

 Relation to Balto: The Silvermoon pups were born on a warm spring day in March. As they roamed the wilderness and grew up, they developed distinct personalities. Denali took the role of the mediator of the pups, being that he couldn't stand it when he saw his siblings argue. As time went on, they grew and they grew, but the pack was constantly shifting their territory western as the humans began settling in the more remote areas of Alaska. They never really had a childhood, and Denali was never really pushed to do what things he was capable of, sadly, not being able to find a place in a pack whose existance was on the line. But as time progressed, things got worse, until one day when the pack was pushed as far as they could go. Still the unknowing humans pressed on until they met in a horrible turn of events. Many key wolves to the pack disappeared or were killed, including the alpha female and the betas. The alpha male disappeared, never to be heard from again. The pack was never able to regroup, and as Denali's mother lay dying, she requested her son to take care of  Yukon, Zion, Alpine, and Haven. To this day, Yukon and Denali are seen mostly together, being that all this care has brought them close over so many years.

Likes: Denali likes the simple things. He likes playing around. He also likes eating pinecones, which, no one has ever quite understood. But if there's one thing that he loves, it's his brother... And butterflies. Denali and Yukon have been side by side for over three years, and never once have they been apart. They hunted together, sat together, slept in a pile like they had since they began their lives, and he loves his brother. They are close. But other than that, Denali likes to chase butterflies and fireflies. He never tries to catch them, but when they land on his nose, it puts a smile on his face. He also likes to lay by the creek and watch the leaves float down it, and let the fish tickle his whiskers.

Dislikes: He doesn't like to see anyone upset, and the second he knows of it, Denali is the first one on the scene. He doesn't like to recall his past, and that would be the only thing that COULD make him sad. His family is the most dear part of his life to him, even his adoptive parents, Koko and Jordan, and sister, Katori. He doesn't like it when Yukon is mad at him, but he learns his lesson quickly when he prods the wolf too much. Although these are about the only things he dislikes, Denali also is quite iffy of civilization. He's more accepting than Yukon, but suppose that's come from all the years of being protected by him.
