Personality: Ryder is very cynical and pretty much uses humor and sarcasm as a shield to hide his true feelings. He's grumpy and distant, and not the easiest person to approach, but when you get to his good side, you'll see that he can be very loyal and trustworthy. Ryder has a good heart in general, but it takes a very special person to get to see this side of him. He is very wary of strangers and doesn't trust them easily, due to the hardships he's been through, and is reluctant to allow himself to get close to someone, fearing he might get hurt again. 

Likes: Catori, hunting, howling, winter and spring, the northern lights.

Dislikes: Being betrayed, lying, water, bears, conflicts, bullies.

Story: Ryder was the youngest in the litter of 3, born to a wolf pack living in the mountains. He had a rather normal and happy childhood, always getting into mischief with his best friend Jarvis. When they became of age, Ryder and Jarvis left the pack to start their own lives and couldnt't wait to see the world and get on all sorts of exciting adventures. One day, they rescued a female wolf named Chloe from a caribou stampede, and Ryder immidietaly fell in love with her. They became mates, and the trio continued to travel together. However, drama soon ensued as Jarvis also had feelings for Chloe and was extremely jealous of her and Ryder. Finally, Ryder discovered the truth, and learned that Chloe had feelings for Jarvis as well. They announced that they wished to become mates, and naturally feeling shocked and betrayed, Ryder just ran, and never looked back. For months he traveled as a rogue, depressed and bitter, until one day, he bumped into another rogue, a female by the name of Catori. She was about to cross the ice bridge, which her father's pack had crossed to live in a new territory, and Ryder saw this as an opportunity to start  a whole new life, so he decided to stick around her, much to her dismay. The two argued a lot, but still, Ryder found he couldn't resist Catori and even eventually grew feelings for her - but of course he wouldn't show them, fearing she would betray him like Chloe did. Things took a surprising turn, however, as they were crossing the ice bridge and Ryder fell into the freezing water, and since he couldn't swim, it was up to Catori to save him. As she chose to put her journey of finding her pack on a pause to help nurse Ryder back to health, their relationship deepened, but when they finally found her pack, Catori got into a lot of conflicts with Aleu, the current leader of the pack, demanding that she should be the leader as it was her birth right as the daughter of Nava. This caused some conflict with her and Ryder as well, as he believed she was overreacting, but one morning, when Ryder awoke and saw Catori snuggled next to him, he smiled, and went back to sleep. And from that on, they would stick together. Eventually they had 3 pups together, but as war broke out between Aleu's pack and a rivaling pack lead by a wolf named Kallik, tragically their youngest son Kyler was killed in battle. Kyler's death was hard on entire family, but it was Ryder who took it the hardest, and it was like someone had ripped his heart out of his chest. For several weeks, he wouldn't come out of the den, he didn't sleep, eat or talk to anyone, and was just downright depressed. It wasn't until Catori finally called him out, with tears in her eyes telling him to snap out of it, when he realized that he wasn't the only one who had lost a child, and a family member, so he came to his senses, and focused on supporting his loved ones instead of dwelling in his own grief.
