Name: Maisie
Nickname: Mae
Age: Three years older than Jenna
Breed: Siberian Husky
Parents: TBA
Siblings: TBA
Mate: Paxson
Pups: Maverick, Ruby, Jenna, Chayton, Sasha, Ivy
Personality: Maisie is a lot like Jenna in that she is quiet and soft-spoken. She is rather introspective and prefers to sit back and observe things rather than talk. She comes off as coy and demure, but she’s far from shallow. She appreciates having deep relationships with those around her and only sticks around those who treat her with respect. She is more of a follower than a leader, and sometimes she has trouble speaking up like her mate Paxson. She is a bit shy, and is also very modest and humble.
Likes: Paxson, her family, taking walks, sleeping, summertime, nature, flowers, butterflies
Dislikes: Her second breeder, bears, ice, snowstorms and thunderstorms
History: Maisie was born to two purebred Siberian Huskies near Council, Alaska. When she was around two, she was bought by a breeder who took her to a breeder farm to mate with the male huskies there. One of the huskies on the farm, a young male named Paxson, introduced himself the first day Maisie arrived, and it was evident he had a thing for her. Maisie liked the male attention and thus let Paxson stick around with her, and eventually she realized his feelings for her were mutual and they became mates. They feared the breeder would breed them with other dogs, but after seeing how in love Paxson and Maisie were, he decided to breed the two of them, and eventually Maisie had a litter of six puppies, one of them being Jenna.
However, tragedy struck the breeder farm one day, when the owner passed away unexpectedly. He had no heir, and so the farm was bought by another breeder who’s practices were rather unethical. Paxson and Maisie thus made the difficult choice to escape the farm and take their puppies with them so they wouldn’t wind up with a similar fate. However, escaping wasn’t going to be so easy, because other dogs ran away as well but were always caught by the breeder, who searched through town psychotically in search of his lost dogs. So one day, Maisie and her family left during the night and ran as far as they could, braving the Alaskan wilderness until they reached the town of White Mountain. The family found refuge in the boiler room, and were eventually found by a middle age couple. The couple had known Paxson and Maisie’s old breeder, and recognized the dogs and decided to take them in. Seeing that the dogs ran away prompted the couple to investigate the breeding farm in Council, and eventually they were able to expose the evil breeder and get him arrested for his malicious ways. Jenna and her siblings were adopted at eight weeks old; not all the pups remained in White Mountain, such as Jenna, who was brought to Nome, but all the pups lived relatively close to their parents and thus Paxson and Maisie were able to keep in touch with their children. They remained with the couple who had found them, living the rest of their lives peacefully as house pets.
Relation to Balto: Jenna’s mother
