Personality: Eira is socially awkward, gawky, and is often viewed as a “nerd.” She loves learning scientific information and spreading knowledge to others. She has a bit of a hard time making friends because her idea of fun is a lot different from that of most others, but Eira embraces herself and loves marching to the beat of her own drum. Although she is socially awkward, she is very much a social butterfly and has no trouble going to others and starting conversations. Although she is happy with her true self, she does wish she had more friends and that the other dogs in town would give her a chance.

History: Eira was born on a husky farm to two purebred Siberian Huskies. At eight weeks old, she was adopted by a biologist living on the outskirts of Nome who investigated the diverse wildlife that lived in the area. Eira loved her owner and loved listening to him talk about science, and she grew fascinated by all the different things he talked about with his coworkers. Growing up, she ended up becoming your stereotypical “nerd,” who was gawky and preferred to bury her nose in a book, although since she was a dog she didn’t know how to read. Her “nerdiness” as well as the fact that she lived far from town caused her to have a hard time making friends, and the other dogs viewed her strangely, but Eira always stayed true to herself.

    One day, Eira’s owner went out into the woods to learn more about some of the animals living in the caves near Nome. Eira accompanied him and enjoyed learning about the different creatures with whom she shared the land. However, trouble ensued when the two got trapped in the cave. They weren’t able to escape for a couple days, and Eira was terrified for her life. However, hope prevailed when Kilaun, one of the town’s rescue dogs as well as the son of the famous Balto, came and rescued the pair, saving both their lives. Kilaun was very nice, charming, and not to mention good-looking, and Eira was swept off her feet by her new “hero.” As a result, she ended up sticking to Kilaun like glue and grew infatuated with him. Kilaun was a bitt confused at first, as he had never gotten attention from a girl, but he eventually got used to Eira following him around and grew to like her, and eventually, love her. Eira’s infatuation grew into a genuine love for Kilaun as well, and the two became mates.
