History: Catori was the eldest child and only daughter of Nava and Tapeesa, two wolf pack leaders. Growing up with two brothers, Catori was very much a tomboy and often gave the male pups a run for their money. She was a very active and strong-minded young wolf and showed great signs of being a great Alpha leader, and so Nava appointed her as future leader of his pack. However, Catori’s happiness did not last for long. When she was a few months old, disease swept through the clan, killing her mother and two younger brothers. Catori was devastated to lose so many of her loved ones, but she was grateful to still have her father Nava by her side.
One day, while Catori was training to become a strong hunter, she fell off a large cliff and watched as her whole world went black. Concerned for his daughter, Nava enlisted a search party, but after a week with no evidence of finding Catori, she was pronounced dead. However, in reality, Catori had gotten knocked out from the fall, and was taken in by an elderly wolf couple who helped nurse her back to health. Catori couldn’t really recall anything due to head injuries, and so the wolves, named Iluk and Katya, took her in and adopted her. Over time, Catori began to recall more and more of her past life, but as she got older she decided to stay with her adoptive parents and take care of them as they reached old age. However, she couldn’t help but wonder what ever became of Nava. Eventually, Iluk and Katya both died of old age, leaving Catori by herself. She decided now would be the time to search for her long lost father. After weeks, she eventually found him, but was sad to learn that he, too, was on his deathbed. Nava told Catori that his pack had crossed the ice bridge and that she should go follow them, and before Catori had the chance to ask whether she was still leader of the pack, Nava passed away in her arms. Catori decided to stick to her father’s word and find the pack, but she couldn’t help but feel conflicted about the question she asked that had been left unanswered. However, more complications arose when she bumped into a lone wolf named Ryder who was hoping to start a new life across the ice bridge as well after his mate left him for his best friend. Catori wasn’t keen on this random wolf joining in on her journey, and she was leery of Ryder at first. However, when Ryder fell into the ocean, it was up to Catori to save him, as he couldn’t swim. Then, Catori was faced with a choice- should she continue on without Ryder, or put her journey on pause to nurse him back to health? She chose the latter, but eventually warmed up to Ryder when the two of them realized they were stuck together.
Eventually, Catori and Ryder found Nava’s pack, but Catori was distraught to find that a young, inexperienced wolfdog named Aleu was running the pack. Catori tried to overthrow Aleu because she felt that as Nava’s daughter, it was her destiny to lead the pack. This caused a bit of a feud between Catori and Aleu, and it also caused conflict with Ryder, who felt like Catori was overreacting about the situation. This upset Catori because she was secretly developing feelings for Ryder, as much as she didn’t want to admit it. However, she stuck to her guns and tried to make herself pack leader as a way to uphold her father’s legacy. However, after Nava visited her in a dream, Catori realized perhaps her destiny was not meant for being pack leader, but for something else… and when she woke up in her cave that morning, she saw Ryder laying next to her and finally realized what exactly her destiny was.
The two later became mates and had three pups. Their lives were pretty normal and stable until one day, when the pups were adults, the pack Catori was in went to war with a rival pack belonging to a vengeful wolf named Kallik. The war was hard for the family, especially when their youngest son Kyler was tragically killed in battle. Everyone took it hard, especially Ryder, who fell into a deep depression and would hardly ever leave his den or even eat. Catori eventually snapped at him one day, as all the stress of losing her son and seeing her husband in such a poor state had taken a toll on her. However, she was able to get Ryder to realize that he had to come to terms with their son's loss, and soon Ryder returned to his former self again. Although Catori would always miss her son, she knew he was always looking down on her and the rest of the family with love.
