Personality: Niyol is known to be friendlier and more approachable than his cynical brother Situk. He is very warm and open, and finds it easy to make conversation with just about anyone. He is very relaxed and likes to just go with the flow, unlike his brother who likes to have control over everything in his life. Niyol is quite open-minded and always ready to give people a change- he had a lot of faith in Aleu as a pack leader from the start. He is very cool-headed and doesn’t like conflict or violence, and as a result he can be quite non-confrontational.

History: Niyol and his younger brother Situk were born to two wolves along the outskirts of Nome. When they were older, Niyol and Situk both joined Nava’s pack as Beta wolves. Niyol wasn’t a very strong hunter, but was good at keeping guard of the pack, so Nava often put him on watch duty. Niyol often found himself at odds with his brother due to their polar-opposite personalities, but they still loved each other nonetheless. When Aleu became the leader of the pack and led the clan to food and their new home during their time of starvation, Niyol was one of the first to have faith in the new leader and gave her a chance despite Situk’s protests. Niyol quickly adjusted to life in his new home, and also started developing feelings for Tiva, one of the other wolves on watch duty. Niyol wanted to tell Tiva how he felt, but was afraid that it would ruin the friendship they had formed with each other. However, one day while on duty, wolves from a rival pack badly attacked Tiva in an attempt to steal some food, and Tiva was in critical condition, not waking up. Niyol was terrified for Tiva’s life, and worried that she would die before she ever got the chance to know how he truly felt about her. However, Niyol never lost faith in Tiva, and stayed by her side in hopes that she would wake up. Niyol began to speak to Tiva in hopes that it would get her out of her coma, and one day, in a fit of despair, he declared out loud for the first time that he loved her, even though he knew she may not hear it. However, in that moment, she moved for the first time in days, and she slowly recovered as Niyol remained by her side. Eventually, Tiva woke up, and Niyol helped her make a full recovery. Seeing how caring this silver wolf was, Tiva fell in love with Niyol and the two became mates.
