Personality: Erik is a bit "rough around the edges", he appears to be a tough guy who thinks he doesn't need anyone, but deep down he is a sweet guy with a heart of gold, he just doesn't like showing this side often, as he thinks it makes him appear week. He's very loyal and eager to please, and if he fails at something, he tends to  beat himself up for a good while. Erik is extremely work oriented and proud of his job, and he loves the sense of adventure it brings every time he and his owner go on their hunting trips. He is also very protective towards those he cares about, and would never let anything or anyone harm them, even if he had to risk his life. 

Likes: Hunting, outdoors, his family, Minori, camp fires, adventures, the northern lights.

Dislikes: Moose, bears, appearing weak in front of others, failing at his job.

Story: Erik was the third child of Aslak and Felicie. As a pup he was quite the rascal who often got himself in trouble, but as he grew a little older, he calmed down quite a bit, to his parent's relief. When his uncle Athos was visiting one day and telling stories about his days as a hunting dog, all those stories about the adventures he'd had made anl impression on Erik, and he announced that he wanted to a hunting dog just like Athos. Naturally this worried his parents, but particularly Felicie, because of what had happened to Athos and she feared something like that might happen to her son as well. Despite his mother's protest, Erik began his training, and when he was a year old, he was taken to his first hunting trip. However, that did not go as expected. Erik and his owner were hunting a moose, Erik caught it's scent and went after it without listening to his owner's orders, he found the moose and jumped towards it, but it took a swing at him with it's antlers, Erik yelped from pain and fell to the ground with a bleeding wound on his shoulder. The moose charged at him and was about to tramble him, but just then his owner fired a warning shot, and it ran away. He ran over to Erik, who was in intense pain and also extremely frustrated that he messed up on his very first hunt. His owner carried him to Nome, and to the vet, and for the following week Erik wasn't able to walk, and was also left with a scar as a reminder. Eventually, as he recovered, Erik got over it, and swore he would never try and go solo again, he was actually a little proud of the scar that he'd gotten, because it reminded him every day to not make the same mistakes again. One day, his sister Claudette came to visit him, and introduced him to her friend Minori, a young female Akita. Erik immidietally liked Minori, he thought she was beautiful and sweet, and they started spending time together. Being the "tough guy" that he was, it took a while for him to admit his feelings for her, but finally, he swalloved his pride and told Minori he loved her, and they became mates.
