Personality: Minori is very sweet and calm, and is typically very cool-headed. She’s not super outgoing, but is also not shy either; she’s kind of just in the middle. She is very gentle and a pacifist and wouldn’t hurt a fly, but is quite confrontational and will stand up for what she believes in if she sees a problem occurring. She is extremely intelligent and knows exactly what others are thinking and feeling even if they don’t say it out loud. Minori is very respectful and understanding, and always tries to put herself into others’ paws. 

Likes: Fresh snow, sunsets, nature, the beach, taking walks, ear scratches, playing fetch

Dislikes: Bullies, violence, loudmouths, injustice, feeling uncomfortable

History: Minori was born in Japan to two Akita Inus, but she and her owners moved to Nome when she was just a small puppy, so she doesn’t remember much about her old home. Moving to Nome was a huge adjustment to the young pup as it was very different from Japan, and Minori was nervous she wouldn’t make any friends. However, she was well-liked amongst the other dogs for her sweet and friendly personality. Her owners became friends with another Japanese family in town, and through them, Minori met their dog, another Akita named Yamato. Yamato was very kind and handsome, and the two of them grew close. As they got older, Minori developed feelings for Yamato, and Yamato’s parents wanted to set her up with him, but she could tell her friend just wasn’t reciprocating those feelings. He seemed more romantically interested in Claudette, another dog in town. Although she always treated Claudette with respect, Minori tried her best to win Yamato over, but it was to no avail. Eventually, she realized Yamato would never love her the way she loved him, and so she admitted to him one day that she loved him, but respected if he liked someone else, and would do her best to move on. Initially, Minori was a bit sad whenever she would see Yamato going out with Claudette, but she eventually moved on after seeing how happy he was with her. She remained friends with Yamato and Claudette, and eventually found love in Claudette’s older brother Erik.
