Personality: Yamato is a very smooth talking and charming young dog, who can sometimes appear rather flirty but still isn't one of those  typical ladies men that hits on anything that moves. Quite the opposite, Yamato is a big romantic, and firmly believes in the fact that there's someone for everyone. He is noble and brave, and always puts the needs of others ahead of his own. Yamato isn't afraid to stand up for whose he cares about, even if means risking his own life, but still he is extremely against violence, and only uses his teeth and claws if the situation absolutely requires it.

Likes: His parents, Claudette, running, outdoors, laying by the fireplace.

Dislikes: Conflict, arguing with his father, seeing anyone he cares about sad or hurt.

Story: Yamato was the only survivor in his litter, as his 2 siblings died at birth. Therefore his parents, his father particularly were extremely protective towards him, and hardly ever let him out of their sight. Shiro wanted him to become a hunting dog like him, but Yamato was always more interested in watching the sled dog races rather than learning about hunting, and soon figured out that that's what he wanted to do, much to his father's disappointment. Once he became of age, Yamato began his training, and was mentored by Kodi, son of the legendary Balto. One day, as he was strolling through the town after one of his lessons, Yamato spotted a female dog being cornered by a group of sinister males, he chased them off and went to ask the female if she was alright. Fortunately, she appeared to be unharmed, and the two introduced each other - and Yamato learned that her name was Claudette, and that she was in fact related to his teacher, Kodi. They began hanging out on a regular basis, and Yamato developed feelings for her, but as soon as his father found out about this, he did everything he could to stop his son from going out with a "mutt" like her. Shiro even tried to hook Yamato up with one of his childhood friends, Mari, who was another pure breed Akita, but it was to no avail, as Yamato was falling deeply in love with Claudette. He gently turned Mari down, and they remained friends, but he and Claudette still had to continue seeing each other in secret.

Relation to Balto: Was mentored by Kodi, falls in love with Balto's great granddaughter.
