Personality: Denali is a very timid and shy wolfdog who prefers hanging with a small group of people rather than being surrounded by large crowds. She can be a bit of a worrywart and doesn’t really like to take risks. Being the oldest sibling, she is very motherly and caring, and has a soft spot towards pups. She was always the perfect little daughter who always stayed out of trouble, and made sure her younger siblings did the same. Despite being very shy, Denali is a sweetheart and always goes out of her way to show kindness towards others.

Likes: The forest, pups, the summertime, swimming, taking walks, having alone time

Dislikes: Being in trouble, being in danger, bears, hunters, storms

History: Denali was the eldest pup of Luna and Athos, Balto’s grandson. Being the eldest sibling, she always looked out for her siblings and was like her parents’ second-in-command, always keeping her younger brothers and sisters in line.  Raised in the wild, she was always more in touch with her wolf heritage, but was also well aware of her dog heritage. She enjoyed visiting Nome with her father to visit her dog grandparents who lived there, and she enjoyed observing the humans who lived there and seeing what their life was like. However, she never really felt a desire to live among the humans; she preferred to stay in the wild. 

    As Denali grew up, she was very timid; her parents were more on the quiet side as well, but she was far shyer than them and it concerned them slightly. Denali was quite insecure about herself and had difficulty making friends outside of her family. However, Denali’s bravery was put to the test one day when her mother got her leg stuck in a trap, much like she had when she was younger and first met Athos, but this time a rope connected the trap to a cowbell, so whenever Luna moved, the cowbell would make noise… attracting a hunter. Denali witnessed everything happen, and was horrified, thinking she was about to lose her mother. However, a sudden burst of courage erupted inside of her and she fought off the hunter, even managing to rip the gun out of his hands and scare him off. She freed Luna from the trap and the mother and daughter were safe at last. It was then that Denali realized her true potential and bravery.
