Personality: Zeus is very laid back and goes with the flow, just taking life as it comes. He isn’t super outgoing, but is far from shy; he just likes to save his words for when there’s actually something worth saying. He’s quite witty and has lots of good one-liners, and his sense of humor is very dry. When he’s out of his harness, he loves to just relax in the warm boiler room. Some might call hi lazy for how often he hangs out and naps in there, but really it’s because Zeus just likes to keep his mind at peace and not fluster himself with too much activity.

Likes: Relaxing, running, the fire place, the boiler room, telling jokes, hanging with friends 

Dislikes: Being overworked, loudmouths, bossy people, snobs

History: Zeus was the firstborn child of Kirby and Kira, and his name was given to him due to his exceptionally large size. Growing up, he loved hearing stories about his father’s job as a mail dog and hoped to be a sled dog just like him. He got his chance when he was adopted by a musher for one of Nome’s top racing teams, and he worked hard to get a spot on the team. Eventually, when he was around one, he finally made the team, and was placed as a wheel dog due to his strength and large size (at this point, he was even bigger than his father). He also became good friends with his teammate Ferric, who was the nephew of Kirby’s best friend and teammate Kodi.

    When Zeus was around two and a half, his friend Willow, Kodi’s daughter, joined an opposing racing team. The two often competed against each other, but their competition was always friendly; they maintained their bond over the fact that their parents were friends and that they were both racing dogs. Zeus eventually began to like Willow, but the bossy lead dog of his team, Ayla, got mad at him for liking their “enemy.” Zeus didn’t let that get to him, though; he just shrugged off whatever Ayla said and tried to pursue Willow, who seemed to be liking him as well. However, all of a sudden, Willow became distant and seemed to be purposely avoiding Zeus. Zeus was hurt by this sudden change in behavior, and was confused, since he had no idea what he did to cause Willow to act like this. However, he found out from Ferric, who was Willow’s cousin, that Willow’s own teammates had been against her dating him as well, so she thought avoiding him altogether would be the only way for her to keep her friends. 

    The night before one of their big races, Zeus bumped into Willow while she was walking in an alleyway. She tried to run off, but Zeus caught her in time and asked her what was up. The two eventually admitted their feelings for each other, but decided to keep it a secret from everyone else on the team. However, the next morning, Zeus proved his worth to Willow’s team after Zeus helped rescue Willow’s team when they got caught on an ice pond during the race, and the two were allowed to date in public without fear of what the others would think.
