Personality: Henri is very sweet and good-natured, and also extremely determined. He doesn’t stop until he reaches his goals, but also knows not to overwork himself.  He can be a bit awkward and shy when you first meet him, but once you get to know him, Henri is quite talkative and open. He is very optimistic and is often looking on the bright side, but when he doesn’t accomplish something, he’s quick to beat himself other. He is rather non-confrontational, partly due to his social awkwardness. 

Likes: Exploring, searching for gold, adventure, the wilderness, fresh air, running, exercise, fishing

Dislikes: Not achieving something, bears, ice, being lost

History: Henri was the youngest pup of Aslak and Felicie, Balto’s granddaughter. He was adopted at eight weeks by a young man who was in search of gold that had been found near Nome and wanted a companion to stick with him in the wilderness and help him find gold. Aslak’s owner was also in search of gold, and so Henri got to spend a lot of time with his father and became particularly close with him, although he loved his mother as well. Henri greatly enjoyed looking for gold with his owner and searching the mines for gold. He loved the sense of adventure and mystery that came along with it. 

    However, one day, a landslide happened at one of the mine shafts, trapping many miners including Henri and Aslak’s owner. Henri was terrified that something had happened to his owner, so he went to the mine shafts despite Aslak’s protests not to in order to find his owner. He discovered that his owner and many others got trapped in the mine shaft and needed to find a way out. So, Henri dug a hole that allowed the miners to escape safely. That day, Henri was deemed a hero. 

    Unfortunately, his owner never found gold, but did make a good living as a fisherman, and Henri always accompanied him out to the lakes to catch fish, but he had a bit of a fear of icy ponds and therefore didn’t get involved much in his owner’s fishing business. However, he did have an affinity for catching fish in the stream, and was quite good at it, and sometimes he was lucky enough to catch some big fish that raked in a good sum of money for his owner.
