Although she was apprehensive about moving to a new town, she didn’t have a hard time making friends because of how outgoing and approachable she was. She has a curious nature but can be a bit gullible. She seems very demure when you first meet her, but she’s a tough cookie on the inside who isn’t afraid to get fierce and stand up for what she believes in.
Likes: Hanging with friends, the boiler room, running, swimming, watching sled races, fresh snow, chew toys
Dislikes: Being lied to, bullies, snowstorms, being cooped up
History: Eska was born to two purebred huskies, and at eight weeks old was adopted by a family of four living in White Mountain. However, when Eska was around two, her family moved to Nome since the father wanted better job opportunities, and so Eska had to leave behind everything she had ever known for a completely unfamiliar place. She was nervous that the other dogs wouldn’t like her, but figured she would need to make some friends, so she went to a dogsled race that was being held the day her humans moved in hopes of making some friends. There, she befriended Kala, a kind young wolfdog who was watching the race because her two brothers Dakota and Iron were in it. Eska soon found out from many of Kala’s female friends that Dakota was quite a sought-after dog in Nome. Eska was interested and hoped to get a good look at this Dakota once the race was over.
The race finished, and a tall gray wolfdog approached Eska. She thought was Dakota, but was actually Iron, Dakota’s younger and less confident brother. She introduced herself as Eska, and in a moment of panic, Iron accidentally introduced himself as “Dakota.” He would have corrected himself, but after seeing how excited Eska was to be talking to the most popular guy in Nome, Iron decided to keep the facade up. Eska eventually became good friends with “Dakota,” and even developed feelings for him as the weeks went on. However, she found out the truth when Kala admitted to Eska that the dog she was talking to was not Dakota, but rather Iron. Feeling betrayed, Eska wanted nothing to do with Iron, thinking he was untrustworthy. However, Iron was able to prove himself to Eska, and after realizing it would be best for him to be himself, he showed Eska the real him. Eventually Eska fell for Iron and the two of them became mates, and she loved Iron for who he truly was.
