Personality: Kita is very fun, bubbly, and optimistic. She loves making others laugh and has a good sense of humor. She isn’t very thick-skinned, though, and takes a lot of comments personally. She is very motherly and protective of others, especially her shy brother Larsen. She is quite smart and a good leader, but doesn’t really take the reins that often, for fear of seeming bossy. She is very appreciative of the little things in life.

Likes: Making friends, making others laugh, the Northern Lights, the snow, Nanook

Dislikes: Losing her loved ones, storms, blizzards, ice

History: Kita was born in Nome to two Alaskan Malamutes named Klondike and Sadie. She and her younger brother Larsen were the only pups in their litter, and thus the two pups were very close to each other. Kita was the more outgoing of the two, while Larsen was extremely timid, and thus stuck to his older sister like a little duckling, but Kita didn’t mind. Eventually, she and Larsen got adopted, but their owners lived in the same neighborhood, and so Kita and Larsen were still able to hang out all the time. Eventually, Larsen got a job on Nome’s mail team, and Kita couldn’t be prouder of her brother. She later met Shiloh, one of Larsen’s teammates and friends, and Kita developed a crush on him. She wanted to admit her feelings to him, but was afraid to, and instantly regretted her decision when Shiloh was shipped off to a musher in Nenana before Kita had the chance to declare her feelings for him. However, to make matters worse, Larsen was shipped off to Nenana as well, causing Kita to lose not only her brother but her best friend. Kita was devastated, and one day all her emotions came pouring out and she went and cried in an alleyway, thinking nobody would notice her. However, a young dog by the name of Nanook noticed how sad she was and rushed to her aid to make sure Kita was okay. Seeing how lonely Kita was now that she had lost her brother and Shiloh, Nanook offered to be her friend, and so the two began to hang out together more and more, until eventually Kita fell in love with him. They eventually became mates, and Kita finally felt whole again.
