Personality: Chaika is very much the “warm and fuzzy” type. She is extremely approachable and happy-go-lucky, and is also very optimistic. She and Blaise kind of balance each other out personality-wise; Blaise is a bit of a grouch while Chaika is always smiling and looking on the bright side. She’s a bit on the shy side and doesn’t tend to approach others first, but if she is approached, she is more than happy to be your friend. She is extremely loyal and stands up for what’s right. She sometimes gets a little miffed at Blaise’s grumpiness, but still loves him nonetheless.

History: Chaika was born in Nome to two Keeshonds on a breeder farm. At eight weeks old, she and her sister Bia were adopted by a family with two young boys whom they loved to pieces. As Chaika grew up, she lived a pretty normal life; she spent her days hanging out with her humans and her sister, watching the sled dog races, and making friends. One day, she was walking down the streets of Nome when she bumped into a red Husky mix. Chaika apologized for being so careless, but the red mutt just grumpily said, “Watch it.” Chaika was appalled at his rudeness and hoped she wouldn’t have to bump into him, literally and figuratively, again. However, one day, while she was walking through town, she heard intense growling coming from an alleyway. To her horror, the red dog that she had seen a few days ago was brutally fighting with Alistair, one of the most popular - and stuck-up - dogs in town. Chaika could only watch in terror as the red dog took a terrible hit to the head, falling unconscious. As Alistair laughed evilly and walked off, Chaika ran to the mutt’s side to make sure he was alright. He soon woke up, but it was clear he had no clue where or who he was, or what had even happened. As much as she detested this dog for his rudeness, she also felt sorry for him and wanted to help him get through his amnesia… the only problem being, she didn’t even know who he was either. She took him out of the alleyway and introduced herself, although the red mutt didn’t even know his name. However, another red dog ran up to them, saying “Blaise, what happened? You look hurt!” This was when Chaika realized the dog’s name was Blaise, and she soon found out the other dog was his sister Amelie. Together, she and Amelie worked to help Blaise regain his memory. Blaise was still very much a grouch, but Chaika found over time that he wasn’t as bad as she initially thought, and that she shouldn’t have judged him simply based off of their brief first encounter. Eventually, Blaise was able to remember what happened after running into Alistair, and his memory came back. He thanked Chaika for helping him to remember everything, and the two stayed good friends, and eventually fell in love.
