History: Jolie was born in a small town in the Nome Census Area to two Siberian Huskies. She grew up there all her life and was pretty popular amongst the males for her pretty appearance and ladylike actions. One day, in the winter of 1925, a stranger named Steele came into town and swept Jolie off her feet. However, she heard a rumor from a dog that used to live in Nome that Steele was a liar and a cheater, but Jolie didn’t believe it. Steele was so charming and handsome that Jolie disregarded the rumor and became mates with him. Eventually they had their puppies — Cobalt, Tungsten, and Silver. Cobalt and Silver grew up to be tough and a bit snooty like their father, but Tungsten had the calm, kind personality of his mother, and thus Steele detested his middle child, deeming him “soft-minded.” Jolie was irked by how Steele showed such favoritism amongst Cobalt and Silver and then bashed Tungsten whenever he got the chance. Things got even worse when one night, Steele threatened to kill Tungsten because he believed the younger husky was unworthy of continuing his bloodline. In a fit of rage, Jolie physically fought off her mate and Steele ran off, never to be seen again. It was then that Jolie realized that the dog who had told her about Steele’s dark past had been correct all along.
Jolie then became extremely wary of other dogs, especially males, because she was afraid they would break her trust the way Steele did. The only source of comfort in her life was her dear son Tungsten, but soon Tungsten was shipped off to be on Nome’s Mail Team, and since Cobalt and Silver didn’t really have a relationship with their mom, Jolie felt as though she had lost all that was dear to her. However, a dog her age named Boone saw how much pain Jolie was going through and wanted to comfort her. However, Jolie wouldn’t let her guard down, fearing that Boone would try to hurt her. After many failed attempts to get Jolie to give him a chance, Boone gently told her one day that not everyone in the world was evil like Steele, and that she would need to learn to trust people again if she wanted to be happy. Jolie knew Boone was right, and decided to finally let him in. She eventually found love in Boone, and they became mates, and Boone treated her better than Steele ever did — he treated her the way she deserved to be treated.
